Germany is one of the key markets on Emirates’ global network. We now operate 49 weekly passenger flights between Dubai and Germany – double daily to each of Frankfurt, München and Düsseldorf and daily to Hamburg. Additionally, Emirates operates six weekly all-cargo flights to Germany - five weekly to Frankfurt and one weekly to Düsseldorf.
Through advertisements, promotional campaigns and marketing initiatives, Emirates has stimulated traffic to and from Germany since the launch of its flights in 1987.
Our passenger traffic on the German routes has more than doubled since 2003, reaching over 1.2 million passengers in 2009. Emirates’ cargo carriage on these routes, exceeding 109,000 tons in 2009, has played an important role in facilitating German foreign trade and opening up new markets for German exporters.
