Guidance if you are looking at travelling soon

Follow our step-by-step guide on how to book your flight and what to consider on your journey.
  • Please bring your own face mask and expect thermal screening at the airport, gloves are recommended but not mandatory on board and in the airport.

  • Our airport lounges and Chauffeur-drive services are currently suspended.

  • Help us to maintain social distancing guidelines. Seat selection and online check-in are temporarily closed.

  • Please arrive at your respective airport and check in three hours before your flight.

  • To reduce contact and maintain high levels of hygiene, we have temporarily modified some of our onboard services including our meals and drinks. Please check the tables below to see our current services.

Our services during COVID-19

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve changed or temporarily suspended some of our services.

This helps us to follow current strict health and safety guidelines and protects the wellbeing of all our customers. If you're flying soon, please check our service changes below to see what to expect along your journey.

Repatriation flights

For operational reasons we are currently still offering a modified service on our repatriation flights. This includes our prepacked meal boxes, and no alcohol is being served. For all other flights please check the details below.

Services before your flight

We are giving all our customers a travel hygiene kit at check-in and the boarding gate. This kit includes gloves, a face mask, sanitiser and wipes.

Chauffeur-driveOur Chauffeur-drive service in Dubai and around the world is temporarily suspended until April 2021.
Emirates LoungesOur lounges are temporarily closed.
Online check-inOnline check-in is currently unavailable. You need to check in at the airport.
Seat selectionPaid seat selection is still available online. Our check-in team are allocating seats to follow social distancing guidelines where possible.
Travel hygiene kitsWe are giving all our customers a travel hygiene kit at check-in and the boarding gate. This kit includes gloves, a face mask, sanitiser and wipes.

Dietary requirements

You can preorder a limited selection of dietary meals through the Manage Your Booking section online 48 hours before your flight.

A vegetarian option has been added on all our menus in all cabin classes.

Inflight dining

We’ve temporarily modified our dining service to reduce contact and maintain the highest levels of hygiene. This includes the packaging, content and presentation of meals.

We’re offering a simpler single-use menu in First Class and Business Class with all our food, drink and wine options. In Economy Class, our cabin crew will share the choices with you. Our cutlery is hygienically sealed.

Customers can still dine at any time in First Class on flights over 3.30 hours.

Children’s meals are only available in First and Business Class.

Drinks

We are offering a modified premium drinks service in all classes.

We are offering welcome drinks in First Class.

In First Class and Business Class, you can enjoy champagne and a simpler choice of wines and mixed drinks. However, we’re not serving cocktails at the moment.

In Economy Class, we are serving wine and beer.

We’re also serving hot beverages, soft drinks and juices in all classes.

Live TVLive TV is not available at the moment.
EmiratesRED inflight retailWe are currently not offering shopping on board.
Magazines and newspapersWe’re currently not offering newspapers and magazines on board to reduce contact.
Onboard Wi-FiYou can purchase Wi-Fi connectivity, but our free service is not available.
Children’s productsWe’re currently not offering our kids’ magazine and toys. To increase hygiene, we have added a disposable antimicrobial liner to our baby bassinets if you're travelling with an infant.
Comfort itemsWe’re offering amenity kits on selected long-haul flights. Our comfort products such as mattresses, blankets, pillows, headphones and toys are hygienically wrapped.
Hot towelsThere are no hot towels, but we are offering disposable refreshing towels in First Class and Business Class.
