At Emirates, we’re committed to providing you with an unparalleled journey, beginning with our highly trained, professional cabin crew. New recruits undergo an intense seven and a half weeks of training in our state-of-the-art facility in Dubai so they can perform to the highest standards of safety and service delivery.

The training covers both theoretical and practical aspects; practical skills are taught in full-motion simulators of all the aircraft types in our fleet.

And our ongoing training for all cabin crew members ensures that you always receive unrivaled care on board.

  • Getting the look right

    We’ve set hair, makeup, skincare, nail care and uniform standards that ensure our cabin crew look their best while providing customers with a memorable inflight experience.

    New recruits undergo an image and uniform training program using premium Dior skincare and makeup products. And we also provide ongoing support for our team’s image through the Emirates Beauty Hub.

  • The Emirates Beauty Hub

    While our team provides award-winning hospitality on board, we provide them with the health, wellness and beauty support they need while on the ground. Located in our Headquarters in Dubai, the Emirates Beauty Hub is a dedicated space for them to get advice from the experts on fitness, nutrition, hair, skincare and makeup.

    Many of our consultants were Emirates cabin crew themselves, and they understand well the challenges our team face from day to day. Our consultants are trained by our Beauty Hub partner Christian Dior, and they have experience across a diverse range of ages, skin types and backgrounds.

A friendly greeting, wherever you are

The Emirates team is spread over six continents, with more than 2,000 staff members in over 120 call centers and retail outlets outside of Dubai. Our contact center staff supports 17 languages; we help people getting in touch with us on more than 50 country-specific telephone numbers and through live chat. Globally, our contact centers help more than 4,000 people every hour during the busiest times of the day.

At the airport, you can expect a smooth check-in experience guided by our friendly airport staff. Emirates Skywards members or those traveling in First Class or Business Class can enjoy attentive service in our airport lounges. From a friendly greeting when you contact one of our call centers to a flawlessly served beverage before your meal, we work hard to make sure your Emirates journey inspires you.

Our pilots reach new heights

Flying nearly 300 aircraft to more than 135 destinations

We only hire experienced pilots, and we employ more than 400 experts who conduct initial training to ensure those pilots meet the exacting standards of both Emirates and aviation regulators.

Ground school includes computer-based training, e-learning, and aircraft technical classroom sessions. Emirates pilots also complete full flight simulator training for the specific aircraft they’re going to fly, so they’re fully prepared. The last stage is line flying under the supervision of an experienced trainer. The course takes about three months to complete, and we conduct recurring training for more than 4,000 pilots—it’s a regulatory requirement for each pilot every six months.
