Baggage services in Dubai

Terms and Conditions

  1. This document sets out the terms and conditions on which Emirates will deliver baggage to an address in the U.A.E for persons arriving on a flight into Dubai International Airport (the "Airport") or persons who have been offloaded of flights in the Airport.
  2. This service does not form part of any Contract of Carriage that you may have separately with Emirates or any other air carrier. The Conditions of Contract and Conditions of Carriage from your flight no longer apply.
  3. Emirates shall not be liable for any loss or damage to any item of baggage unless such loss or damage to the baggage is the direct result of Emirates' negligence.
  4. Emirates shall not be liable in any circumstances for damage to any fragile, valuable, or perishable items contained in the baggage.
  5. EMIRATES SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY WHATSOEVER ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH DELAYED DELIVERY OF BAGGAGE. EMIRATES' SOLE LIABILITY WITH RESPECT TO ANY LOSS OR DAMAGE TO BAGGAGE SHALL NOT EXCEED AED 70 PER KILOGRAM OF LOST OR DAMAGED BAGGAGE. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS IS INTENDED TO EXCLUDE ANY LIABILITY FOR DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY CAUSED SOLELY BY THE NEGLIGENCE OF EMIRATES.
  6. Charges will be based on published tariffs and are nonrefundable.
  7. Delivery of baggage will be subject to Customs Clearance (see applicable UAE Customs guidelines (Opens an external website in a new tab))
  8. Emirates will not release baggage to you unless and until all applicable charges for the baggage delivery service have been paid in full.
  9. Baggage will be released to passenger's representative upon production of the Baggage Delivery receipt, or satisfactory identification.
  10. Unclaimed baggage may be disposed of or sold at auction after 90 days; the proceeds of any sale may be retained by Emirates.
  11. Emirates shall have a particular lien upon any item of baggage for its charges, and also a general lien for any monies owed by you to Emirates on any account. In the event of such charges or monies owing not being paid within a reasonable time after demand for payment thereof, Emirates may sell such items and apply the proceeds towards the satisfaction of any such charges or monies owing.

  13. If any part, term or provision of this Agreement shall be held illegal, void or in conflict with any law having jurisdiction over this Agreement, such illegality, void provision or conflict shall not invalidate these terms and conditions shall remain in full force and effect.
  14. These terms and conditions are subject to the law of the Emirate of Dubai and the Federal laws of the UAE. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with the provision of the services here under shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Dubai Courts.
