Emirates celebrates Haneda launch

DUBAI, U.A.E., 4th June 2013: Emirates, on Tuesday, celebrated the launch of daily, non-stop services to Tokyo International Airport (Haneda) with a Gala Lunch at The Palace Hotel.  

Thierry Antinori, Emirates’ Executive Vice President, Passenger Sales Worldwide; Salem Obaidalla, Emirates’ Senior Vice President Commercial Operations Far East & Australasia and Richard Engelmann, Emirates Japan Manager were joined by 100 VIP guests to celebrate the opening of Emirates’ third gateway in Japan. 

Earlier in the day, Emirates held a press conference where Mr Antinori confirmed the airline’s commitment to Japan.

“We strongly believe that the convenience of our non-stop flights from three gateways, Osaka, Narita and now Haneda, together with the connectivity options to Africa, Indian Ocean, Middle East and Europe will further facilitate Japanese trade  and boost business and leisure visitors between our the two nations,” said Mr Antinori. 

Emirates’ flight EK312 departs Dubai at 0935hrs, touching down at Haneda 0001hrs the following day. The return flight, EK313, departs Haneda at 0130hrs and arrives at Dubai at 0705hrs the same day.
