|Airport news||A third terminal, satellite terminal and two additional runways are currently under construction. These are due for completion in 2015.|
|Driving directions||Yingbin Road, which runs through the airport, and Fareast Road, which is west of the airport, respectively link to Shanghai's outer and inner ring roads. The outer ring road joins Shanghai Pudong International Airport to Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport (journey time: 1 hour). The inner ring road leads to the People's Square/Shanghai city centre.|
|Car rental||Self-drive cars are available, although most visitors choose to hire a car with a driver (often from their hotel) on a daily or weekly basis. Avis and Hertz are among car hire operators represented at the airport.|
|Public transport and taxis||Bus:
Several bus routes from the airport serve various areas of Shanghai. Airport bus 1 connects Shanghai Pudong International Airport with Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport (journey time: 30-40 minutes; fare: ¥30). Other routes run to City Air Terminal (Jingan Temple), Galaxy Hotel, Hongkou Football Stadium, Zhongshan Park, Lin Gang Xin Cheng and Shanghai South Railway Station.
Taxis are available from outside the terminals: passengers must join the correct queue for the desired destination. Passengers should ensure the driver uses the meter. The journey time to central Shanghai is 25-40 minutes, and fares start at around ¥150.

), a magnetic levitation train that is the fastest in the world, connects the airport with metro line 2 at Longyang Station (journey time: 8 minutes; fare: ¥50). Trains run every 15 minutes from 0700 to 2100. The station is situated next to the airport and is connected to the terminal by a bridge. Underground metro line 2 links Shanghai Pudong International Airport to Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport.
|Car parking||There is a three-floor multi-storey car park with space for over 3,000 vehicles and a surface car park for short- and long-term parking in front of the terminal buildings.|
|Information and help desks||Flight information in English is available within the international terminal. Information counters are located in front of both the domestic and international security checks. Shanghai Pudong International Airport also has a flight and general information line (tel: (021) 3848 4500).|
Several banks, bureaux de change, and ATMs are located within the terminal buildings.
Telephones and internet stations are located within the terminals. Free Wi-Fi is available, along with mobile phone charging stations. There is also an on-site post office.
There are numerous restaurants, coffee shops and bars, mainly on the third floor of both terminals. These include fast-food outlets, restaurants serving local fare, and international food retailers.
Shops at Shanghai Pudong International Airport include gift retailers, designer brand shops and duty-free outlets. The majority of shops are concentrated in dedicated shopping areas on the third floor of both terminals.
Left-luggage facilities are available in both terminals. A lost and found office can be found between Gates 8 and 9 in International Arrivals (tel: (021) 6834 6324).
Baby change/feeding rooms can be found within the terminals. There is a pharmacy in the shopping centre on the third floor of Terminal 2, and nursing rooms in both terminals. Transit beds are available on an hourly basis.
|Conference and business facilities||A business centre (tel: (021) 6834 6519) is located between the international and domestic arrivals areas. This facility provides telephones, fax and internet facilities for business visitors. There is also a VIP room, as well as several lounges operated by various airlines at the airport.Jinjiang Inn Pudong Airport Hotel (tel: (021) 6835 3568) offers 24-hour business facilities, including various meeting rooms, telephone, fax and photocopying facilities. |Disabled facilities||There are lifts and ramps to provide easy access for disabled travellers. Passengers requiring wheelchairs and special assistance should inform their airline prior to travel. Disabled toilets and TDD telephones can be found within the passenger terminals.|
