How do I contribute Miles?
Every time you fly with Emirates, flydubai and our airline partners, spend with our bank, hotel, car rental, retail and lifestyle partners, you can automatically pool the Miles you earn into a My Family account.
You can choose to contribute all of the Skywards Miles you’ll earn to your My Family account or set your contribution percentage to 0%. Any Miles you don’t contribute will stay in your own account.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Yes, you can contribute up to 100% of the Miles you earn on flights with Emirates, flydubai and other airline partners, as well as the Miles you earn with our bank, hotel, car rental, retail and lifestyle partners. Only the Miles you’ve earned with financial conversion partners can’t be pooled into your My Family account.
- Any Emirates Skywards member aged 18 years or above can become a Family Head and create a My Family account.
- Your current Skywards Miles balance and Tier Miles balance will remain as before. For any future Skywards Miles you earn on Emirates Flights, you can choose to contribute all of your Skywards Miles to your My Family account or choose not to contribute your Skywards Miles and they will be set to 0%. The contribution percentage can be changed at any time.
- You can invite any members of your immediate family to join. If they’re not already Emirates Skywards members, they’ll just need to register first before you can add them. Immediate family members include the following: Husband, Wife, Domestic Partner, Son, Step-Son, Daughter, Step-Daughter, Mother, Mother-in-Law, Step-Mother, Father, Father-in-Law, Step-Father, Brother, Sister, Granddaughter, Grandson and Domestic Helper.
Skywards Miles can be redeemed from the My Family account for Classic Reward flights, on flights where Cash+Miles is offered, for Instant Upgrades at check‑in, with selected retail and lifestyle partners* (as offered by Emirates and our Partners), to donate Skywards Miles to support Emirates Airline Foundation initiatives, and on selected Skywards Exclusives events (subject to the Skywards Exclusives terms and conditions set out in these Programme Rules in respect of Skywards Exclusives). Emirates may amend the partner list at any time.
