Travel to Seychelles

All passengers, including infants and children, travelling from permitted countries must have a negative COVID-19 PCR test result certificate from an accredited laboratory. The test must be taken not more than 72 hours before departure from the point of origin. Travellers from countries not included in the list of permitted countries are currently not allowed entry to Seychelles.

Returning residents and GOP holders must follow the guidelines set by the Department of Health.

Tourists may only stay in establishments or liveaboards certified by the Public Health Authority.

All passengers except Seychelles nationals who have been to a high risk country within 14 days of travel are not allowed entry into Seychelles.

Seychelles nationals travelling from a high risk country must seek approval from the Public Health Authority for entry into Seychelles.

Effective September 15, travellers to the Seychelles, including travellers in transit to other countries via Mahe Airport, must have an approved Health Travel Authorisation (HTA).This includes children, infants as well as Seychellois and all foreigners. The HTA will be processed at a charge of USD 50 and is only valid together with the corresponding passport and COVID-19 PCR test certificate that were submitted and accepted. Passengers must apply via the Seychelles Travel Authorisation mobile app or their website.


Travel from Seychelles

All passengers, except children 12 years old and below, as well as passengers with moderate or severe disability, travelling to Dubai, including passengers connecting in Dubai, will be required to take a COVID-19 PCR test no more than 96 hours before departure and present the negative test result certificate at check-in.

COVID-19 PCR testing facilities are available for tourists before departure on Mahe, Praslin and La Digue. Travellers who will require the test should contact the Public Health Authority via email on pha@health.gov.sc or telephone +248 4388410 well in advance to make the necessary arrangements. On Mahe Island, travellers can go to Maison De Foot at Roche Caiman on any day from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon to do the test.
