SEASONAL OCCASIONS

UAE National Day

A taste of Emirati culture

Celebrate the 52nd UAE National Day with us on 2 December 2023. It’s an important day in our home country where we celebrate the day in 1971 that the former Trucial States came together to form the nation. Find out how we’re marking the occasion on board and in our lounges.

Start the celebrations

Join us in our lounges in Dubai to enjoy special Emirati food and sweets, including chicken machbous, luqaimat with date syrup and pistachio sauce, and um ali.

When you step on board, we’ve bathed the cabin in ambient light in the colours of the UAE flag. Everyone can enjoy special sweets inspired by Emirati cuisine on our flights from Dubai on this special day. And if you want the celebration to last longer, get the commemorative Zinvo Air Blade automatic watch inspired by the UAE flag, available exclusively in EmiratesRED.

See what's new on ice

There’s lots to enjoy on board for Emiratis and for everyone interested in discovering more about Emirati culture on our Dubai & The UAE channel. You can learn about the nation’s history and future, food and drink, arts and culture. Or let our local travel guides inspire you on your next visit.

Enjoy our selection of Emirati movies, Arabic TV shows, podcasts, and Emirati music. Highlights include Emirati movies like Khorfakkan and Ghost, Al Kaboos – a series about legend and folklore in the UAE, and listen to Fazza – Qassed Fazza – poems written by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
