Entry guidelines to the UAE for Qatari Nationals and Foreign Expatriates residing in Qatar

According to updated guidelines issued by the UAE General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs, only Qatari nationals travelling with a UAE national who are first degree relatives (father, mother, husband, wife and children) will be granted transit and entry into the UAE. 

In addition, expatriates holding Qatari residency, transiting or requiring entry into the UAE, will be processed in accordance with the normal entry formalities as per their national passport.

Suspension of flights between Dubai and Doha with effect from 6 June 2017

As instructed by the UAE government, Emirates has suspend its flights to and from Doha, with effect from 6 June 2017, until further notice.

All customers booked on Emirates’ flights to and from Doha will be provided with alternative options, including full refunds on unused tickets and rebooking to alternate Emirates destinations.

Customers who booked through a travel agency should contact their travel agents.

Customers who booked with Emirates can process refunds for their tickets at www.emirates.com/refund or contact their local Emirates office

Temporary rerouting of flight EK449 from Auckland due to fuel rationing

Emirates flight EK449 from Auckland to Dubai will temporarily be rerouted until 29 September due to fuel rationing at Auckland Airport. 

EK449 will stop in Melbourne until 23rd September and will operate via Brisbane from 24th September to 29th September, for refuelling. Passengers will not be required to disembark at either Melbourne or Brisbane.

Passengers holding tickets on EK449 from Auckland with onward connections during this time are advised to contact their travel agent or local Emirates office; and check the status of their flight. Connecting flights will be rebooked as required.

New York John F. Kennedy lounge refurbishment

From 1 September 2017, our lounge in New York John F. Kennedy airport will be temporarily closed for refurbishment.

During this time eligible customers will receive a voucher at check-in to use at a restaurant of their choice in Terminal 4.
