Emirates Skywards

My Family

  • You can invite any members of your immediate family to join. If they’re not already Emirates Skywards members, they’ll just need to register first before you can add them. Immediate family members include the following: Husband, Wife, Domestic Partner, Son, Step-Son, Daughter, Step-Daughter, Mother, Mother-in-Law, Step-Mother, Father, Father-in-Law, Step-Father, Brother, Sister, Granddaughter, Grandson and Domestic Helper.
  • A Family Member is listed as part of your My Family account, and can choose to contribute a percentage of the Skywards Miles earned on their Emirates Flights or flydubai Flights and our airline partners, spend with our bank, hotel, car rental, retail and lifestyle partners, you can automatically pool the Miles you earn into a My Family account and redeem Skywards Miles from a My Family account if you are 18 or above.
  • When you’re added to My Family, you’ll be asked to choose a Skywards Miles contribution percentage of 0% or 100%. You can change this at any time.
  • Your current Skywards Miles balance and Tier Miles balance will remain as before. For any future Skywards Miles you earn on Emirates Flights, you can choose to contribute all of your Skywards Miles to your My Family account or choose not to contribute your Skywards Miles and they will be set to 0%. The contribution percentage can be changed at any time.

  • Skywards Miles can be redeemed from the My Family account for Classic Reward flights, on flights where Cash+Miles is offered, for Instant Upgrades at check‑in, with selected retail and lifestyle partners* (as offered by Emirates and our Partners), to donate Skywards Miles to support Emirates Airline Foundation initiatives, and on selected Skywards Exclusives events (subject to the Skywards Exclusives terms and conditions set out in these Programme Rules in respect of Skywards Exclusives). Emirates may amend the partner list at any time.

  • The Family Head and My Family members aged 18 or above can redeem Miles from a My Family account.
  • Once you’re logged into My Family, you can choose to remove a member. If the member is over 18, we’ll send them an email to let them know about the change. If you remove a child, we’ll send an email to their registered parent or guardian. Once they’ve been removed, they can no longer contribute Skywards Miles or be included in any redemption.
  • Yes, you can contribute up to 100% of the Miles you earn on flights with Emirates, flydubai and other airline partners, as well as the Miles you earn with our bank, hotel, car rental, retail and lifestyle partners. Only the Miles you’ve earned with financial conversion partners can’t be pooled into your My Family account.
  • The Family Head and Family members can only join and be part of one account at any one time.  If the Family Head or Family member wants to join a new account they must first be removed from the current account.
  • Miles earned on flydubai flights can be pooled into the My Family account.

  • In the event of the death of a Family Head Emirates Skywards may, in its sole discretion, reinstate the deceased Member’s available Miles in the ‘My Family’ account to the credit of his/her legal beneficiaries provided that his/her ‘My Family’ account holds a minimum balance of 2,000 Miles at the time of receipt by Emirates Skywards of any application for such Miles.

  • These services are currently only available to a member using an individual Emirates Skywards account and do not apply to My Family accounts.
     
    Additional Miles can’t be purchased for My Family accounts.
     
    Miles contributed to a My Family account can’t be gifted, transferred or reinstated.

  • Similar to the Skywards Miles in your individual account, the Miles in your My Family account will be valid for three years from the date of travel.

    The expiry date is linked to the birth month of the individual member who contributed the Miles. For example, if you earned the Miles you contributed in May 2023 and your birthday is in August, these Miles will expire on 31 August 2026.

    You can regularly check the My Family dashboard to see if you have Miles expiring soon.

  • Your first name, last name and Skywards Miles contribution percentage will be visible to all other members in your My Family account. Details related to transactions i.e transaction type, passenger name (title, first name and last name for the member who has flown) and the number of Skywards Miles contributed to the account and also used for a redemption booking will also be shared.
     
    In addition, the Family Head will be able to see details related to redemption flight tickets, including cabin class and fare brand.

  • No, you can’t use the Skywards Miles in your My Family account on Discounted Cabin Upgrades offered as part of your Exclusive Platinum Privileges.

Skywards+

  • Skywards+ is an online subscription that can be purchased on emirates.com for an annual fee.
  • Skywards+ is open to all Emirates Skywards members aged 18 years and above.
  • Skywards+ packages and associated benefits can be viewed on the benefits page. Current skywards+ subscribers will only see the benefits relating to their purchased package.
  • Once you have paid the annual subscription fee, you will receive a confirmation email with a receipt. The next time you log into your Emirates Skywards account, you will see Skywards+ written alongside your other membership details.
  • No. You can enjoy your Skywards+ benefits in addition to the benefits and rewards related to your current tier status.
  • Skywards+ subscriptions are valid for 12 months, and will expire on the last day of the twelfth month. For example, if your subscription started on 1 November 2021, it will expire on 31 October 2022. Auto renewal does not apply to Skywards+ subscriptions.
  • No. Skywards+ subscriptions are valid for 12 months from date of subscription and are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • No. Your Skywards+ subscription and associated benefits are for your exclusive use and cannot be transferred, gifted or sold.
  • In cases where you are eligible for more than one bonus/benefit, only the higher of the two will apply.

  • Your Skywards+ bonuses will reflect in your statement within 24 hours after your flight. If they do not show, you can call our Contact Centre.

  • Yes. You can use your Upgrade Rewards benefit for your travel companions. When you book your Upgrade Rewards on emirates.com or at check-in, Miles will be deducted from your account for all or selected passengers in the same booking or flight. You can also book Upgrade Rewards through emirates.com for other passengers even if you’re not travelling with them. However, you can only use this benefit for other passengers at check-in if you’re also travelling.

  • No. Skywards+ subscriptions are valid for 12 months from date of subscription and are non-refundable and non-transferable.
