Tier Miles are your key to unlocking more exciting rewards. Tier Miles help you retain your current membership status or reach the next tier. On every flight you take with Emirates or flydubai, the number of Tier Miles you’ll earn is calculated by route, fare and class.

Learn more about Earning Miles
Miles are credited to your account after you’ve physically flown from your origin airport to your destination airport. They are credited in two stages, firstly when you have finished the outbound part of your trip and again when you have completed the inbound voyage. So if you fly from London to Sydney return, you are credited Miles once you arrive in Sydney and again when you return to London.
- We recognise that different customers can pay different fares while travelling in the same cabin, so when we calculate the Miles you earn, we take into account the type of fare as well as the distance flown.
Yes you do. We remain one of the few frequent flyer programmes to offer reward Miles on all fares, which applies to both Skywards Miles and Tier Miles. Classic Reward tickets are not eligible for accrual of Skywards Miles or Tier Miles.
You can collect Skywards Miles just by making purchases with your credit card. If you have an Emirates co-branded credit card with Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait, Citibank, Emirates Islamic Bank, Emirates NBD, Citi Bahrain, Citi Australia, Citi UAE, Standard Chartered Bank Pakistan, Standard Chartered Bank Pakistan or Standard Chartered Bank India, we will automatically credit your Emirates Skywards account with any Miles you have earned each month.
If you hold a credit card with one of our other bank partners, please contact your credit card provider for more information or to ask for points to be transferred to your Emirates Skywards account.
- No. You must decide which programme you wish to earn Miles on at the time of reservation or check-in for Qualifying Flights and at the time of paying for other qualifying goods or services. No changes can be made to the membership number once a member has checked-in for the first flight of an itinerary.
