Travelling with pets

If you’re looking to travel with a service dog, you’ll find information on our special assistance and wellness page.

We need at least one week’s notice before your scheduled departure to make sure we have all the right documents to transport your pet. Animals can only travel with us if they’re older than four months.

You can pay for pets to travel as excess baggage on Emirates and they will be carried in a special area of the aircraft hold. If the total dimensions (length + width + height) of your pet carrier exceeds 300cm (118 in), your pet must be transported as cargo on your flight.
