Connecting with flydubai

Emirates can now provide through connections to selected flydubai destinations

Emirates is pleased to be able to provide passengers convenient access to the flydubai network. Our customers can connect to flydubai destinations which are complementary to the Emirates route network, easily and conveniently.

Passengers travelling from Emirates destinations will have their baggage checked through to their final destination. They will also receive their boarding pass for the flydubai sector.

Passengers travelling from flydubai points , and connecting onto emirates, will have their baggage checked in to their final destination , they will receive their Emirates connecting boarding pass when they check in with flydubai, or at the flydubai transfer desk in Terminal 2, before they proceed to Terminal 3 to board their Emirates connecting flight.

Emirates baggage allowances and charges (where applicable) will apply for the full journey on codeshare itineraries (including if the first sector is on flydubai). Emirates Skywards Platinum, Gold and Silver allowances is applicable on flydubai sectors.

At the Dubai International airport, Emirates also connects you by coach, from arriving in Emirates Terminal 3 right through to your departing gates in Terminal 2.

Important additional information

Connecting to and from flydubai with an Emirates ticket

If you have purchased a ticket with Emirates and part of your journey is with flydubai, here is some important information you need to know.

About your booking

As your booking is with Emirates, you will need to contact Emirates to make any amendments to your travel plans. Please call your local Emirates office.

About documentation

Whether you’re checking in with Emirates or flydubai, you need to hold a valid Emirates eticket and all other valid travel documents.

About baggage

Emirates baggage allowances and charges (where applicable) will apply for the full journey (including if the first sector is on flydubai) Emirates Skywards Platinum, Gold and Silver allowances is applicable on flydubai sectors.

About check-in

When you check in, your baggage will be tagged for your final destination – that means you won’t have to collect it in Dubai. 

For Emirates originating flights, you will receive your onward boarding pass at check-in. If you originate on a flydubai flight, you may have to check in for the onward flight, and collect your boarding pass, at the Emirates transfer desk in Dubai. In these cases, you will have to identify your baggage to airport staff so it can be associated with the Emirates boarding pass.

About arrival in Dubai

In Dubai, Emirates operates from Terminal 3 and flydubai operates from Terminal 2. If you arrive on an Emirates flight and you're connecting to an onward flydubai flight, you need to take a bus to the F Gates. There are signs to guide you.
