There are seven penthouses in this 19th-century London building, each one meticulously decorated to its own theme. However, the panoramic city view from The Whitehall Penthouse marks it out as the prime space.
Spread over two floors, dark wood and red panelling line the first floor with an imposing leather-topped desk and numerous books on British history. Upstairs is brighter, including an airy bedroom, walk-in wardrobe and elegant bathroom with a stand-alone bath.
While classically fitted, tech is here too and each floor has its own tablet that controls the lighting, AC, curtains and TVs. You’ll also find a button that calls in one of the penthouses’ dedicated team of butlers, should you need a touch of extra assistance.
Finally, the second floor is also where you’ll find the terrace, along with a skyline view that takes in hundreds of years of British history. A view that we’re fairly sure that Churchill himself would have, no doubt, heartily approved.
