Emirates makes dreams come true for youth in Lyon

Lyon, France: 06 December 2024 – Emirates, the Official Main Sponsor of Olympique Lyonnais, is back on the pitch with its annual player escort experience. The airline has once again partnered with ‘The Leon Bérard  Centre’ and ‘Hôpital Femme Mère Enfant’ to offer children a chance to shine centre stage on the field alongside renowned football players. 

More than 23 children enjoyed a unique experience walking hand-in-hand with players to kick off the match between Olympique Lyonnais and OGC Nice on 1 December. From behind the scenes access to the stadium, meeting the players, and an exclusive opportunity to walk on the pitch in front of thousands of fans – the airline stayed true to its brand promise of making every experience simply, better.   

Emirates utilises its extensive sponsorship portfolio to support local communities, connect with fans worldwide, and create lasting memories. The airline has been a partner of Olympique Lyonnais since 2020, and every year, offers local organisations a chance to make children’s dreams come true.

The Center Léon Bérard is a hospital that is dedicated to offering excellent care and services in medical oncology and surgery. Hôpital Femme Mère Enfant is a dedicated facility that specialises in paediatric care. 

Emirates currently serves Lyon with a daily Boeing 777 flight.  The airline recently welcomed its highly anticipated A350 aircraft to its fleet, scheduled to serve Lyon starting from March 2025.
