Oktoberfest in Germany

While Munich is the original and most popular destination for Oktoberfest, you can join the world’s largest volksfest in many cities throughout Germany.

What is Oktoberfest?

The longest wedding reception ever, the first Oktoberfest was held in 1810 to celebrate the marriage of Bavarian Crown Prince Ludwig to Princess Therese of Saxony‑Hildburghausen. The royal family invited all the citizens of Munich to join in the festivities – because as they say, the more the merrier. The celebration lasted five days with contests, games, food and drinks.

Products and services may vary on actual flights depending on routes, aircraft configuration and seasonality. Operational requirements may also cause last-minute changes to the aircraft used on scheduled flights.
