Emirates, recognised as Airline of the Year at the 2018 Air Transport Awards, takes pride in its extensive global network which currently spans over 160 destinations in 85 countries/territories.Its vast network helps facilitate trade and tourism to and from these destinations, via the airline’s hub in Dubai.
While Emirates’ business strategy is to grow organically, the airline constantly considers a wide range of commercial opportunities and pursues strategic cooperation that makes commercial sense, such as codeshare partnerships or agreements.
Following the commencement of the Emirates and flydubai partnership, Emirates has now expanded its network to 91 flydubai destinations across four continents.
Emirates now has 21 codeshare partners (codeshare arrangements with 20 airlines and an Air/Rail codeshare arrangement with France’s SNCF/TGV Air) and 130 interline partners in 61 countries extending the reach of our own global network by over 5,250 additional destinations, offering more flight options for our customers.

Codeshare is a co-operative arrangement whereby airlines carry passengers whose tickets have been issued by another airline. The intent is to provide passengers with a wider choice of destinations than any individual airline might offer on its own.
When you book a codesharing flight, your ticket will bear the flight number of the airline through which you booked your travel, though some legs of your trip will be on flights operated by another airline and bearing a different flight number from the one printed on your ticket.
