The Germans call it Spargelzeit. The Dutch call it Aspergetijd. In English it means white asparagus season. From 16 May to 15 June you can share in this culinary experience on selected routes* with seasonal white asaparagus on the menu. Savour an appetiser of white asparagus salada with beetroot-cured salmon, marinated edamame and quail egg, and a choice of dishes including grilled veal steak served with hollandaise, poached white asparagus and steamed dill potatoes.

International Tea Day on 21 May was a chance for us to celebrate our long-term partnership with Dilmah luxury teas. On selected routes from Dubai, we gave away a special gift box containing three Dilmah teas to everyone on board. It included Dilmah’s Ceylon Breakfast, Turmeric, Coconut and Vanilla Tea, and an Earl Grey with Honey.
We also used this versatile leaf to create our Dilmah Elixir Breeze mocktail in the A380 Onboard Lounge, which included a mix of Emirates Signature Iced Tea, chilled apple juice and sparkling water. And for afternoon tea on selected flights to the UK, we paired our light bites with a Dilmah Brilliant Breakfast.
