Emirates flights to the US destinations

Emirates will resume flight operations to the following US destinations starting from 21 January 2022:

Emirates flights to New York JFK, Los Angeles (LAX) and Washington DC (IAD)  continue to operate as scheduled.

Passengers booked and confirmed on the above flights will be accepted for travel.

 

Customers must check the latest government travel restrictions in their country of origin and ensure they meet the travel requirements of travelling to or transiting through Dubai and their final destination. For more information on travel requirements, click here.    

Customers must arrive early at the airport and plan extra time for document verification at check-in.

Flights from Nairobi, Dar es Salaam, Lagos, Abuja, Harare, Lusaka, Addis Ababa and Casablanca to Dubai

Restrictions on entry and transit through Dubai

Customers originating from the following destinations will not be accepted for travel to or through Dubai with effect from 28 December 2021 until further notice.

  • United Republic of Tanzania (DAR)
  • Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (ADD)

 

Cancelled flights (to and from Dubai)

Customers with bookings to and from the following points will not be accepted for travel, until further notice.

  • Republic of Kenya (NBO)
  • Lusaka (LUN)
  • Harare (HRE)
  • Lagos (LOS)
  • Abuja (ABV)
  • Casablanca (CMN)


Affected customers do not need to call us immediately for rebooking. Customers can simply hold on to their Emirates ticket and when flights resume, get in touch with their travel agent or booking office to make new travel plans.

 

Emirates regrets any inconvenience caused.

Flights from South Africa

Emirates will now operate daily passenger flights into Johannesburg. Due to current travel restrictions, we will not be carrying outbound passengers from Johannesburg.

Customers can check emirates.com for flight schedules, seat availability, and the latest travel requirements.

Until further notice, Emirates’ passenger operations to and from Durban and Cape Town remain suspended. 

Customers affected by flight cancellations do not need to call us immediately for rebooking. Customers can simply hold on to their Emirates ticket and when flights resume, get in touch with their travel agent or booking office to make new travel plans.

Alternate ways to get help if you experience long call wait times

  • If your call is not related to travel within the next 48 hours, please consider calling back later.
  • You can make a new booking or change an existing booking on emirates.com.
  • If you are calling to find out about travel requirements for your travel, please check the details on the travel requirements page. Our contact centre consultants also refer to this information.
  • If your flight has been cancelled or impacted by route suspensions due to COVID‑19 restrictions, you don’t need to call us immediately for rebooking. You can simply hold on to your Emirates ticket and when flights resume, get in touch with us, or your booking office to make new travel plans.   • To ensure you receive flight updates and notifications, please ensure you’ve provided us with your latest contact details under Manage Your Booking.

Suspension of flights to and from Kabul

Customers are advised that  due to the developing situation in Afghanistan, all Emirates flights to/from Kabul have been suspended until further notice. 

Customers holding tickets with final destination to Kabul will not be accepted for travel at their point of origin.

Emirates regrets any inconvenience caused. Affected customers should contact their booking agents or the local Emirates office for rebooking options.
