Reaching new altitudes! Emirates strikes gold in October with multiple award wins

SINGAPORE, 2 Nov 2026 – Emirates is celebrating a milestone month of recognition, having secured multiple prestigious accolades at two leading travel industry awards programmes held in Singapore this October. The awards were received on behalf of Emirates by Rashed Alfajeer, Emirates' Country Manager for Singapore and Brunei.

On 1 October, the airline was named Best Airline (Middle East) at the Travel Weekly Asia Readers' Choice Awards 2026, based on votes from travel professionals and industry stakeholders.

Later in the month, Emirates secured three major global accolades at the Business Traveller Awards held on 21 October, winning Best First Class in the World, Best Premium Economy in the World, and Best Economy in the World, having been nominated across six categories in total, including Best Airline in the World, Best Business Class in the World and Best Cabin Crew in the World.

“We are thrilled to see Emirates perform so well in the Business Traveller 2026 Awards. Emirates’ continued enhancement of its passenger experience across the fleet resonated with our judges and consumers alike. From First Class to Economy, the airline continues to be a benchmark within the industry, and its increasing consistency in its offering is paying dividends” said, Jonny Clark, Managing Director, Business Traveller.

Over the past year, Emirates unveiled the world's first electric Premium Economy seat with a full-height privacy screen, introduced the world's first U-Dream Headrest in Economy Class, surpassed one million onboard Starlink Wi-Fi connections, launched new Bvlgari amenity kits for First and Business Class customers, and boosted its premium onboard dining with an exceptional selection of champagnes and fine wines.

The recognition also comes at a significant time for Emirates in Singapore. In 2025, the airline celebrated 35 years of operations in the market and the opening of the Emirates World Store in Singapore. In June 2026, Emirates also marked three years of Premium Economy operations in Singapore, having carried more than 88,000 passengers on the product since its launch.

Commenting on the collective wins, Mr Alfajeer said: “These awards are a tremendous honour for Emirates and reflect the trust that both our customers and industry partners place in us. To be recognised across every cabin class, fortifies our commitment to delivering world-class experiences for every traveller. While we are proud of these accolades, we see them not as a destination but as motivation. They inspire us to keep innovating, raising the bar and putting our best foot forward. As traveller expectations continue to evolve, so too will Emirates.”
