Emirates introduces an elevated experience with its Premium Economy offering on Montréal – Dubai route

  • Montréal becomes the first city in Emirates’ Americas network to receive its A350 aircraft, delivering a signature experience

Montréal, Canada - 11 February 2026: Emirates announces it has deployed its new Airbus A350 aircraft on flights between Dubai and Montréal, marking a historic moment for Emirates’ Canadian operations. With the introduction of Emirates’ latest aircraft type, Canadian customers now have more choice to enjoy the airline’s signature Premium Economy cabin.

Montréal has also become the first city in Emirates’ 19-point Americas network to feature the airline’s latest aircraft type, featuring the award-winning Premium Economy experience, perfectly designed to deliver elevated travel experiences on long-haul journeys to Dubai. 

The Emirates A350 replaces the Boeing 777 on the route, operating daily to and from Montréal on EK243 and EK244 with the following schedule (all times are local):

  • EK243: The flight departs Dubai at 02:45 hrs, arriving in Montréal at 07:35 hrs.
  • EK244: The flight departs Montréal at 10:40 hrs and arrives in Dubai at 08:00 hrs (next day).

Montréal welcomes Emirates’ new Premium Economy experience

The Emirates Airbus A350 complements the airline’s existing fleet of Boeing 777s and Airbus A380s serving its Americas network. Toronto, Emirates’ other gateway in Canada, is served with daily flights operated by its flagship A380 aircraft.

The Emirates A350 features latest-generation cabin designs, with higher ceilings and wider aisles throughout, creating a more spacious and airier environment. The cabin is meticulously designed to ensure passenger comfort, seamlessly integrating smart technology and a world-class in-flight entertainment system to elevate the travel experience.

Emirates’ Premium Economy Class delivers an experience comparable to the business class of many airlines to bring Canadian travellers an exceptional flying experience. Value-added features include spacious reclining leather seats with full leg and foot support, elevated dining experiences, 6-way adjustable headrests, built-in charging ports, and side cocktail tables. Passengers can also enjoy a 13.3-inch personal screen, and access to over 6,500 entertainment channels in 50 languages including French.

The Emirates A350 is configured with a three-class layout, accommodating 312 passengers: 32 next-generation Business Class seats in a 1-2-1 arrangement, 28 seats in the highly-acclaimed Premium Economy cabins, in a 2-3-2 layout, and 238 spacious Economy Class seats in a 3-3-3 configuration.

Signature experiences throughout the A350 aircraft

Besides Premium Economy, customers can fly in Business Class cabins featuring luxurious leather lie flat seats, inspired by the Mercedes S Class. The seat pitch is 44 inches, and the seat width is 21 inches, and all are fitted with a 20-inch 4k screen to enjoy on-demand content.

Business Class passengers enjoy ergonomic leather seats, Bulgari amenity kits, and a premium selection of gourmet meals. This includes regional cuisine options across all cabins, to suit all palates, in addition to vegetarian and vegan options*. Customers travelling in premium cabins can also enjoy a premium selection of curated wines and spirits amongst its vast variety of beverages.

Seats in Economy Class on the A350 are welcoming, with an uplifting and elegant light blue fabric and luxurious bronze-coloured armrests, to complete the sophisticated look. Each seat has a pitch of 31-32 inches and width of 18.4 inches, with a 13.3-inch 4k screen.

The aircraft also offers faster Wi-Fi, cinematic viewing experience of its award-winning entertainment system, wider aisles, quieter cabins, and enhanced cabin lighting.

Through its codeshare partnership with Air Canada, Emirates customers can access 37 additional points in Canada and the US, from Montréal and Toronto.
