SEASONAL OCCASIONS
We’re serving seasonal dishes, snacks and desserts in our lounges in Dubai, Cairo and Jeddah.
In Dubai, relax between iftar and suhoor while you savour a rich lamb kabsa, chicken machboos or Arabic mixed grill with tahina sauce. Or have a slice of cheese kunafa and choose from coffee or dates macaroons. You can also try our Arabic coffee and dates ice cream and baklawa ice cream all day long. Refresh with our seasonal drinks, including the Ramadan Ruby Cooler, Pearl of Iftar, Jallab and Laban.
If you’re fasting for Ramadan, and iftar falls during departure or on your flight, we’re offering special services to help you break your fast.
At the boarding gate, we’ll give you one of our Ramadan boxes packed with water, dates, Laban and a banana. On board, the dietary meal box contains a sandwich, cold mezze, chocolate almonds, Arabic sweets, Arabic bread and dates with water and Laban for you to enjoy inflight or take with you when you land.
This Ramadan, our meal boxes feature a geometric design inspired by traditional Islamic art. These intricate patterns, evolving since the ninth century from simple to complex 8, 10 and even 16-point stars, are created by dividing squares or circles, symbolising unity, into repeated shapes. These fascinating designs hold deep cultural and spiritual significance, and using them in our meal boxes is our way of honouring the UAE’s rich heritage and sharing Ramadan’s spirit of generosity.
While you relax on your journey, you can choose our special Ramadan selection on our inflight entertainment system, ice.
