Tunisia

Travel to Tunisia

Effective 28th Sep 2020, all passengers travelling to Tunisia regardless of the point of origin must possess a PCR test certificate with a negative result, it must be taken 72 hours prior to departure and must not exceed 120 hours on arrival in Tunisia.

Only passengers who are in the following categories can be accepted on flights to Tunisia.

  • Tunisian nationals
  • Non Tunisian national with a Tunisian spouse
  • Non Tunisian national holding a valid residency visa
  • Non Tunisian national holding proof of residency (ownership/rent contract or proof of investment)
  • Passengers who hold a diplomatic passport accredited in Tunisia

The Tunisian government has classified countries into three categories with corresponding requirements for each. Any country not listed as green or orange is considered red.

The classification of the passenger’s country of residence applies. If the passengers’ point of origin is not their country of residence, the classification of their departure point will apply only if they have stayed there for 14 days or more.


Red Countries (UAE is included)

  • All passengers must take a COVID-19 PCR test and present the result certificate at check-in.
  • Seven-day hotel voucher from any of the hotels listed below. Customers must have a negative PCR test result, conducted at their own expense, before leaving the hotel quarantine and followed by 07 days home quarantine.
  • The engagement confinement form for 14 days (7 at approved hotels and 7 in self-isolation) must be presented at check in along with a confirmed 7-day hotel booking voucher.

For travellers from countries in the red zone the COVID-19 PCR test certificate and hotel confinement maybe waived if the passenger is holding an exemption letter .


Orange Countries

  • All passengers must take a COVID-19 PCR test and present the result certificate at check-in.
  • The engagement confinement form for 14 days of self-isolation must be presented at check-in.
  • No hotel voucher required


Green countries

  • All passengers must take a COVID-19 PCR test and present the result certificate at check-in.
  • The engagement confinement form for 14 days of self-isolation must be presented at check-in.
  • No hotel voucher required


Hotel quarantine


Passengers travelling to Tunisia subject to hotel confinement must present a hotel booking confirmation  from the hotels specified below to be accepted on the flight.

Passengers must fill the engagement form provided at check-in and present the completed form to Emirates staff at the boarding gate to be accepted on the flight. Standard health cards will also be distributed on board and the completed form must be presented to immigration on arrival.

All arriving passengers into Tunisia will disembark in Terminal 2.

All departing passengers from Tunisia will embark from main terminal - Terminal M.

There is no transit on-board Emirates via Tunisia.


Travel out of Tunisia

Passengers must check in 4 hours before departure as check-in closes 90 minutes before departure.
