The Emirates Group wraps up successful participation in Careers UAE 2015

DUBAI,UAE - 10 May 2015: The Emirates Group’s stand at Careers UAE 2015 attracted a large number of Emirati job seekers, offering up to 850 positions during the exhibition. The Group wrapped up its successful participation last Thursday as the three-day fair came to end.

More than 2000 UAE Nationals applied for a variety of positions and programmes within the Emirates Group. Whether with Emirates, the world’s largest international airline; dnata, the global air services provider which today has operations in 38 countries on five continents; or a Group-wide business unit such as Human Resources, IT, Procurement, Facilities Management, Internal Audit and Finance, the Emirates Group catered to all interests and educational backgrounds.

“This event has become a key platform for Emiratis to learn about what employment and training opportunities there are for them. Through our interactive stand and with the help of our dedicated National Recruitment & Development team, I believe we’ve been successful in giving potential recruits a great insight into the dynamic world of aviation and the Emirates Group,” said Amira Al Awadhi, Emirates’ Vice President, National Recruitment and Development

“To attract this large number of UAE Nationals during the three days of Careers UAE is testament to our commitment towards Emiratisation. At the Emirates Group, we do not simply offer job vacancies, we ensure that every opportunity we present promises a well-rounded career and a secure future for UAE Nationals,” she added

Applicants at the Emirates Group’s stand got the chance to participate in a touchscreen digital challenge and three lucky winners left with more than just a job application. Developed to engage and educate its users, the “Careers Take off Challenge” gave potential recruits a glimpse into the organisation, highlighting the group’s recent milestones using trivia and interesting facts. On the last day of the event, three lucky winners were selected to win two Economy Class tickets each to one of Emirates’ 144 destinations.
