Emirates sponsored “Stars on Board” dazzles thousands of Arab fans from around the world
DUBAI, U.A.E., 17 July 2016 - Emirates connected thousands of Arab fans from around the world with their idol stars at the 2016 “Stars on Board” which took place onboard the Norwegian JADE cruise ship.
Sponsored by Emirates, the outstandingly successful entertainment event featured astounding performances by the biggest stars in the Arab world while cruising across the Mediterranean and the Adriatic seas for seven nights from 9 July to 15th July 2016.
The sixth edition of Stars on Board entertainment event featured a number of live concerts performed by the biggest Arab idols which comprised Najwa Karam, Kadim Al Sahir, Nancy Ajram, Ragheb Alameh, Walid Toufic, Nawal El Zoghbi, Melhem Zein, Wael Jassar, Ziad Bourji and much more. Other celebrities joined the cruise included Youssef and Nicole, Nesreen Tafesh, Amal Al Awadi, Elissar, Bonita Saade, DJ Tony White and to name but few.
Apart from supporting the finest arts and culture of the Arab world, Emirates also contributed to an auction organized by mbc for refugees around the world. The airline offered Emirates Holidays packages to Mauritius and Sri Lanka as well as signed Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain jerseys.
The six-night entertainment voyage, sailed from Venice on 9th July, and explored the highlights of the extraordinary and stunningly region between Italy and Greece. It stopped in Corfu, Greece; Kotor, Montenegro; Dubrovnik, Croatia; Koper, Slovenia; and returned to Venice on 15 July.
This holiday cruise concept was launched by Emirates together with MBC Group and aims to bring together some of the Arab world’s biggest celebrities and fans to take them during a week-long cruise. Emirates Holidays, the travel subsidiary of the Dubai aviation group, offered unique cruise packages which included Economy class return airfare Dubai-Venice- Dubai, one pre-cruise night’s accommodation in Venice, transfers, six nights’ cruise on full board basis on board the Norwegian Jade, and port charges inclusive of all applicable taxes and fuel surcharge.
