Arsenal defender, Nacho Monreal, visits the Arsenal Soccer School Dubai with The FA Cup

Dubai, U.A.E; Just days after playing alongside team mates in an overwhelming 4-0 victory over Aston Villa and raising The FA Cup for the second consecutive year, Arsenal star Nacho Monreal brought the coveted trophy to Dubai to inspire students of The Arsenal Soccer School.

After a successful second full season at Arsenal, Monreal was in Dubai for a short break to visit the budding stars of the future at the Dubai branch of the Arsenal Soccer School, in association with Emirates. The Spanish International spent time observing training, where kids have the chance to learn how to “Play the Arsenal Way” under the direction of UEFA licensed coaches.

“When first team players and Arsenal legends visit us here in Dubai, it is great motivation for the kids and the coaches, and after such a spectacular performance on Saturday in The FA Cup final, it is even more exciting to welcome Nacho. We are lucky that the students here get to meet their heroes quite often, Mikel Arteta and Freddie Ljungberg both visited last year and the performance of the students was noticeably increased,” said  Ian Selley, Head Coach at the Arsenal Soccer School Dubai.

Monreal watched the students train and then stand out players from each age group were presented with exciting Arsenal PUMA branded gifts. Spot prizes of autographed PUMA evoSPEED boots were also presented during the event. Nacho started Arsenal’s FA Cup final win wearing the evoSPEED 1.3 Graphic. Students who attended also had the opportunity to get their PUMA kits signed and a photograph with the Premier League footballer.

Established in 2009, five years after Emirates became a major sponsor of the club, Arsenal Soccer Schools Dubai aims to give kids the chance to learn how to play the flowing, visionary style of football which is the hallmark of first-team manager Arsene Wenger. The training programme is designed to help young players develop their technical skills and passion for the game, ensuring they have a platform to reach their potential.

Arsenal Soccer Schools Dubai – which is open to boys and girls of all ages and ability - is permanently based at 7he Sevens, Emirates’ dedicated sporting venue in Dubai. Visit www.playthearsenalway.com for more information or to join.
