Frequently Asked Questions

  • Due to the system upgrade, you might not be able to access or edit your profile information between 9 and 11 June 2025. If you're travelling during this period and would like to use your tier benefits, we suggest adding your membership number to your bookings before 9 June 2025.
  • We're enhancing our system during this period, and you won't be able to spend Skywards Miles on flights and upgrades. We suggest using your Miles to buy tickets or upgrade your cabin class before 9 June 2025.
  • During the system upgrade from 9 to 11 June 2025, password change or reset functions will be temporarily unavailable. We recommend completing any updates before 9 June 2025 or after 11 June 2025.

  • Membership number updates may not be possible at airport check-in between 9 and 11 June 2025 due to the system upgrade. To enjoy your tier benefits during travel, please make sure to add your Emirates Skywards membership number to your booking before 9 June 2025.

    If your number wasn’t added, you can still submit a retroactive claim after your trip. Just make sure your booking details exactly match your Emirates Skywards profile for the Miles to be credited to your account.

  • You might not be able to see your stored payment cards during our system upgrade between 9 and 11 June 2025. We recommend manually entering your payment details in the meantime or booking outside this period if possible.
  • You won't be able to redeem Exclusive Platinum Privileges and Emirates Skywards vouchers at the airport between 9 and 11 June 2025 due to our system upgrade. If you’re travelling during this period, we recommend using your vouchers for discounted or complimentary upgrades before 9 June 2025.
  • Yes, you will be able to retrieve your boarding pass via the Emirates App during this period. If your Emirates Skywards membership number was linked to your booking before 9 June, your tier benefits, such as lounge access, will reflect on your boarding pass as usual.
  • No, member luggage tags will not be available for printing during the system upgrade from 9 to 11 June 2025. We suggest printing your tags before or after this period.
  • Yes, you will still be able to view your digital membership card. However, we recommend that you add it to your mobile wallet before 9 June 2025 to ensure easy access during the upgrade period.
  • Yes, you will still earn Skywards Miles for your eligible Emirates flights. However, due to the system upgrade, there might be a delay before you see your Miles credited to your account.
  • During the system upgrade, some features and services, including new enrolments, might not be available. You won't be able to enrol a new Skysurfer during this time but you can still add existing Skysurfers or Emirates Skywards members to your My Family account. We suggest making any important updates before 9 June 2025.

Partner

  • We are currently experiencing delays in processing co-brand credit card applications and product linking due to the system upgrade. Your enrolment should reflect after the upgrade is complete. We appreciate your patience.
  • There may be a delay in miles accrual for partner transactions while our systems are being upgraded. Please allow extra time for your miles to appear in your account.
  • You may experience a temporary delay in Skywards Miles accruals for partner spends due to the system upgrade. Please be assured your eligible transactions will be processed once the upgrade is complete.
  • Tier updates linked to partner products may be delayed due to the system upgrade. Your tier change will reflect once the upgrade is complete, and data is synced.
  • You may experience a delay in miles accrual for partner transactions made through the Skywards Everyday app during the system upgrade. Please be assured your eligible transactions will be processed once the upgrade is complete.
  • Miles redemption with Dubai Duty Free or Marhaba may not be available between 9 and 11 June 2025 due to the system upgrade.
  • These features may be temporarily unavailable between 9 to 11 June 2025. Please complete any such transactions before or after the upgrade period.
  • You may not be able to access or place bids for Skywards Exclusives events between 9 and 12 June 2025.
  • Yes, you will continue to earn Skywards Miles for eligible partner flights. However, due to the system upgrade, there may be a delay in processing these accruals.
  • Points conversions between Skywards and partners may be temporarily unavailable due to the system upgrade.
