The Immigration Hall is just a short distance through the concourse or you may need to take a shuttle train. The train is wheelchair accessible, air conditioned and has seats. There will be sounds when the doors open and close for your stop.
Throughout the concourses there are moving walkways, or travellators, and lifts and escalators down to the Immigration Hall.
There will be airport teams to guide you to the correct lanes at passport control. Dubai Airports supports the hidden disabilities sunflower lanyard, which informs the teams that you may need support. You can collect one from the information desk in the Immigration Hall.
Priority lanes
If you have arranged assistance, you have a hidden disabilities sunflower lanyard or you’re using a wheelchair, you can use the priority lanes.
Smart Gates
At Immigration, or passport control, there are automatic Smart Gates to the left and right of the Arrivals Hall. The Smart Gates are for UAE citizens, residents, GCC nationals and for visitors who do not require a prearranged visa to enter the UAE. You can register for the Smart Gates at the desks to make it easier and faster to travel through passport control whenever you’re in Dubai.
The Smart Gates involve stepping through a gate and standing on a mark on the floor, scanning your passport and standing still for a quick photo. You will need to reach the camera, otherwise you can visit the immigration desks. There is a wheelchair accessible Smart Tunnel, which you can pass through without any document checks.
The Smart Gates have visual instructions on the screen, and the airport team will be there to assist you.

After passport control you will have your cabin bag scanned before you enter the Baggage Hall. There are screens displaying your flight and baggage carousel number and the airport team can guide you. You can also get a notification on the Emirates app with your baggage belt number.
Once you’ve collected your bags, you can go through Customs and beyond to your onward transport. There are accessible toilets, shops and moving walkways or travellators in the Baggage Hall.
