The ban on international flights to Thailand has been extended until 31 October 2020. Only the following passengers are allowed to enter Thailand.

All nationalities require a visa for entry except Thai nationals. Tourists and Transit passengers will not be accepted.

Certificate of Entry (COE), Fit to fly health certificate are mandatory for all passengers travelling to Thailand.

(COVID-19 RT-PCR test result and Fit to Fly health certificate should be in English or Thai language only.)

Additional required documents as below.

Thai nationals

  • Certificate of Entry (COE)
  • Fit to fly Health certificate

Exempted persons or persons who are specified, permitted or invited by the Prime Minister or Chief Official responsible for remedying the emergency situation to enter into the Kingdom pertaining to necessity, whereby conditions and timeframes may also be prescribed

  • Certificate of Entry (COE)
  • Fit to fly Health certificate
  • Certificate of COVID-19 Free by RT-PCR (issued not more than 72 hours before travel)

Persons on diplomatic or consular missions or under international organisations, or representatives of foreign governments or agencies performing their duties in Thailand, or any other persons in international agencies, that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs gives permission pertaining to necessity, including their spouses, parents or children

  • Certificate of Entry (COE)
  • Fit to fly Health certificate
  • Certificate of COVID19 Free by RT-PCR (issued not more than 72 hours before travel)
  • Letter of certification covering health expenses including COVID-19 throughout their stay
  • Proof or any evidence showing that the place of quarantine is in accordance with the criteria and guidelines prescribed by the government.

Non-Thai nationals who are a spouse, parents, or children of a Thai national

Aliens who have a certificate of residence in the Kingdom, including their spouses and children

Non-Thai national who have a work permit or have been granted permission to work in the Kingdom in accordance with Thai laws, including their spouses and children, or foreign workers who have been granted exemption from the government to temporarily stay in the Kingdom and permitted to work through their employers or licensees who are permitted to bring in foreign workers to work in the Kingdom

For these three categories of passengers, the following additional documents are required for entry:

  • Certificate of Entry (COE)
  • Fit to fly Health certificate
  • Certificate of COVID19 Free (issued not more than 72 hours before traveling)
  • Health Insurance policy covering and treatment expenses, including for COVID-19, or any other guarantee throughout their stay in the Kingdom (coverage of no less than 100,000 USD)
  • Proof or any evidence showing that the place of quarantine is in accordance with the criteria and guidelines prescribed by the government

Non-Thai nationals who are students of educational establishments in Thailand approved by Thai authorities, including their parents or guardians, except for students of non-formal schools in accordance laws on private schools or of any other similar private educational establishments

Students of educational establishments in accordance with the laws on private schools categorised as international schools or universities that provide international curriculum/ normal curriculum, including the parents or guardians of such students

  • Certificate of Entry (COE)
  • Fit to fly Health certificate
  • Certificate of COVID19 Free by RT-PCR (issued not more than 72 hours before travel)
  • Health Insurance policy covering and treatment expenses, including for COVID-19, or any other guarantee throughout their stay in the Kingdom (coverage of no less than 100,000 USD)
  • Proof or any evidence showing that the place of quarantine is in accordance with the criteria and guidelines prescribed by the government
  • Proof or any evidence showing the travel plan from the Point of Entry to the place of quarantine

Non-Thai nationals who need to receive medical treatment in Thailand, including their accompanying persons, except for treatment for COVID-19. The accompanying persons shall be limited to no more than 3 persons and shall be quarantined in the same hospital, and the period of their stay in the Kingdom shall be no less than 14 days

  • Fit to fly Health certificate
  • Certificate of COVID19 Free by RT-PCR (issued not more than 72 hours before travel)
  • Documentary proof showing that the traveller is able to take responsibility for all of their treatment expenses and any other expenses that may be incurred during their stay in the Kingdom and evidence showing that the hospital will be responsible for all treatment expenses.
  • Health insurance covering COVID-19 (not less than 100,000 US dollars)
  • Proof or any evidence showing that the hospital where the traveller will undergo quarantine is in accordance with the criteria and guidelines prescribed by the government
  • Document or confirmation letter from a hospital stating the need to receive medical treatment, and stating that it will admit the traveller to receive medical treatment and will provide a place of quarantine in the hospital for a period of no less than 14 days
  • In case where the accompanying person does not travel with the person who needs to receive medical treatment in Thailand, such person shall present a confirmation letter stating that they will be provided with a place of quarantine in the same hospital for a period of no less than 14 days

Non-Thai nationals who have been granted permission to enter into the Kingdom under special arrangements between Thai government agencies and other countries, or persons or groups of persons who have been granted permission by the Prime minister upon the submission for consideration after the examination and review by the Ad Hoc Committee for the Consideration of the Relaxation of the Enforcement of Measures to Prevent and Suppress the Spread of the Communicable Disease Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19), and shall comply with disease prevention measures determined by the Ad Hoc Committee

For long stay, a quota of travellers from others countries permitted to enter into the Kingdom in accordance with special arrangements will be submitted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for approval of the CCSA.

  • Proof or any evidence showing that the place of quarantine is in accordance with the criteria and guidelines prescribed by the government
