Travel to Egypt

All passengers must complete a health declaration form that will be provided on board the aircraft. Forms are also available from Egyptian tourism companies and their international counterparts.

Effective 1 September 2020 all passengers, including Egyptian nationals except for children under 6 years old will need to carry a printed negative COVID-19 PCR test certificate from an accredited lab in English or Arabic for a test taken within 72 hours before the departure of their final direct flight to Egypt. The certificate must be stamped by the laboratory or hospital and must include the following information:

  • The date and time the sample was taken
  • Details of the type of sample taken for the swab

The COVID-19 PCR test certificate should not have any modifications or alterations (e.g. addition or deletion).

For passengers travelling from New Zealand, Australia, Japan, China, Thailand, North and South America, Canada, London Heathrow, Paris, and Frankfurt, the COVID-19 PCR test can be conducted up to 96 hours before their departure on their final direct flight to Egypt.

Transit passengers are exempted from the negative COVID-19 PCR test certificate requirement.

Travel from Egypt

All passengers travelling with Emirates from Egypt except for children under 12 years old must present a printed negative COVID-19 PCR test certificate issued by an approved laboratory, as mandated by the government of Dubai. The test must be conducted within 96 hours of departure. Bring an official printed certificate – SMS and digital certificates are not accepted. All passengers will undergo a COVID-19 PCR test on arrival in Dubai.
