DUBAI, U.A.E., 12th September 2012: More than 100 leaders from the cargo and logistics industries met to share knowledge and experience during a packed morning session at the Emirates Aviation College in Dubai.
After a formal welcome from Patrick Murray, Head of Calogi, delegates heard a keynote address from Dr. Cedwyn Fernandes, Associate Professor and MBA Program Leader from Middlesex University, who covered an exploration of the make-up of today’s global and logistics industry; the impact of recent regional and global developments and forthcoming growth opportunities in third party logistics.
During the morning, talks on the importance of insuring cargo; warehousing and transportation were given and delegates had the opportunity to network and make new contacts during the morning break.
After a valuable insight from Calogi Senior Training Executive Christopher Capulong on the benefits of Calogi’s new 3PL booking service, Bobby Ninan, Calogi Business Development Manager closed the conference and invited all attendees to join a networking lunch.
“The strong attendance at this event demonstrates the industry’s support for Calogi,” said Patrick Murray, who headed up the event. “We are always looking for innovative ways in which we can better serve our customers and the 3PL product we are showcasing at this event is a definite winner.”
Feedback from those attending yesterday’s event was extremely positive and similar events are being planned to take place during the next 12 months to further unite the cargo and logistics communities.
