Red is the colour of energy, happiness and luck. We hope to bring you all three this Lunar New Year. Enjoy Asian traditional dishes at our breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets in our lounges in Dubai, Bangkok, Beijing, Shanghai and Singapore.

Taste prosperity in a selection of savory seafood and vegetable specialties, including sweet and sour Mandarin fish, cheung fun, baos and dim sum items. Then cap off the sweet celebration with special desserts like yuzu tartlet, matcha green tea ice cream and a luxurious orange mousse cake.

This Lunar New Year, enjoy new additions to our inflight entertainment in in Mandarin, Cantonese and Vietnamese. Watch up to 33 movies, including Day Off, Lighting Up the Stars, Awakening Spring and Mad Fate.

For those celebrating the Tet Festival, you can check out Vietnamese movies, including The Old Man’s Dog, Saigon in the Rain and The Royale Bride. Plus choose from over 250 Hollywood movies with subtitles, including Oppenheimer, The Marvels and Priscilla. You can also listen to up to 115 Chinese albums and playlists of more than 1,000 songs on ice.

The Lunar New Year celebrations started out as a Spring Festival and continues to be one of the most important holidays in East Asia. Although traditions and the dates when specific countries celebrate the day may vary, the Lunar New Year is usually celebrated between 20 January and 21 February.

Products and services may vary on actual flights depending on routes, aircraft configuration and seasonality. Operational requirements may also cause last-minute changes to the aircraft used on scheduled flights.
