  1. General Conditions for Excess Baggage
    1.1 All excess baggage is carried subject to the Emirates General Conditions of Carriage for Passengers and Baggage.
    1.2 Any excess baggage purchased at the airport of departure or at any Emirates office is charged at standard excess baggage rates, without any online discount.
    1.3 Purchase is valid for the amount (piece or weight), flight and date shown on the excess baggage purchase receipt. Your purchase is also valid if you voluntarily change the date of your flight(s) or choose different flight(s) on the same sector.
    1.4 The maximum allowed weight per checked bag is 32 kg (70 lbs).
  2. Refunds
    2.1 Be aware that excess baggage fees are non-refundable, non-endorsable and non-transferable between passengers.
    2.2 You shall only be entitled to a refund of your excess baggage fees in the following limited cases:
    (a) The relevant flight was operated by Emirates;
    (b) The original Emirates flight was changed, cancelled or re-routed by Emirates and you refused the new flight proposed by Emirates; and
    (c) Death or serious illness (must be proven by an acceptable certificate) of you or a member of your Immediate Family as defined within Emirates General Conditions of Carriage.
    2.3 You are not entitled to any refund of your excess baggage fees in the event you:
    (a) You decide to travel with less baggage than the allowance you have purchased;
    (b) You cancel or change your flight; or
    (c) You are denied carriage in accordance with the Emirates General Conditions of Carriage for Passengers and Baggage.
