Qantas applies a charge to passengers wishing to choose seats on international flights, with the exception of First Class and Business Class passengers, Emirates Skywards and Qantas Frequent Flyer members in tiers Silver and above, and all passengers who select a seat in the last 24 hours prior to departure. However, if you wish to choose exit row seats, Qantas applies a charge regardless of tier or class of travel. To select and pay for a seat with Qantas, you must call a Qantas Contact Center (opens in a new tab).
There is no charge for selecting a seat on domestic Qantas flights; however, seat selection is only possible on certain domestic routes.
For routes on which seat selection is not possible, you may indicate a preference for window or aisle seats.
Passengers traveling with infants on Qantas flights cannot select seats and will automatically be assigned seating in bassinet rows, if possible.
