Q. Someone else is travelling with me on another booking, can they upgrade too?

The upgrade offer is only valid for the booking reference on the e-mail. If you are travelling with other passengers, they can only upgrade if they have received the e-mail offer as well. If they did not receive the email upgrade offer, we are unfortunately unable to extend this offer to them.

Q. Can I reserve the upgrade now and pay at an Emirates office or airport?

Unfortunately no. The upgrade offer can only be booked and paid for online using a credit card.

Q. Can I upgrade my flight at the airport as I check in?

It is possible but you will not be able to avail of this special rate. The airport will reassess your fare and charge the difference between the fare you have paid and the normal Business Class fare.

Q. Can I use my Skywards Miles to pay for part or all of this upgrade?

Unfortunately no. You can use your Skywards Miles to upgrade flights subject to the standard Skywards programme rules. 

Q. Is the upgrade for one flight only or for all of the flights in my booking?

The upgrade is only valid for the flight number written on the email. 

Q. Can you give me a price for an upgrade for other flights as well?

If you wish to upgrade other flights, please contact your local Emirates office. Please note that the Emirates office will not be able to offer you the same upgrade fare for this or other flights.

Q. Can you give me a cheaper price for the upgrade?

The price given on the upgrade offer is non-negotiable and we are unable to offer a cheaper rate.

Q. I have a problem upgrading - how can I get help?

You can attempt to upgrade a maximum of five times online. After this, your upgrade attempts will be declined. Please check that you have entered the correct credit card details, including the correct Verified by Visa password or MasterCard SecureCode. If you are unsure of these, please contact your card issuer. Your card issuer may also apply restrictions for use of your credit card with an internet transaction and a merchant based in the UAE. Your card issuer may be able to remove these restrictions if you inform them. If you are still facing a problem, please contact your local Emirates office by telephone (an email may not be responded to in time to help you).

Q. Can you assist me with changing my flights or other details in my booking?

To make any other changes to your booking, please contact your local Emirates office.

Q. I have changed my mind and do not want to upgrade, can I cancel it and get a refund? Can I change my travel date and still get the upgrade?

The upgrade is for that specific flight only and it is non-refundable. If you do cancel it and travel in your original class no refund will be provided. If you change your date, the refund will not be provided on your new flight.
