The Emirates Group returns with new opportunities at Careers UAE 2016

DUBAI, UAE – The Emirates Group returned once again to Careers UAE 2016 with new and diverse career opportunities for UAE Nationals. An employer-of-choice for Emiratis, the company attracted a large number of job seekers on the first day of the three-day exhibition.   

Over the years, the Emirates Group has employed UAE Nationals in a variety of roles across the group. Whether with Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, dnata, the global air services provider or Group-wide business units such as Human Resources, IT, Procurement, Facilities Management, Internal Audit and Finance, the Emirates Group caters to all interests and educational backgrounds.

Through its Emiratisation strategy, Rehlaty, the Emirates Group have set an Emiratisation target last year to recruit and retain UAE Nationals, offering a range of career opportunities and scholarships to ensure the new recruits are well-equipped for a dynamic career with the Emirates group. In the last financial year, the Group employed 830 UAE Nationals and successfully introduced three new programmes specifically tailored for Emiratis:  SkyCargo- National School Graduate Programme, Emirates Airport Service - National School Graduate Programme, and dnata Travel Services- National School Graduate Programme.

UAE Nationals constitute a growing proportion of the leadership across the Group, illustrating the success of UAE’s policies and Emiratisation programmes. The National Recruitment and Development division in the Emirates Group includes a dedicated team of 43 dedicated to recruit and develop extensive training programmes for UAE nationals. The department makes continuous efforts throughout the year to attract Emiratis, from regular visits to educational institutions and summer training programmes for students, to career fairs across the UAE and proactive recruitment.

Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashed Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, Ruler of Dubai, Careers UAE 2016, a three-day fair, kicks off today at Dubai World Trade Centre.
