Extending tier status

The current Tier Status for all Emirates Skywards Platinum, Gold and Silver members has been extended to 2022.

If your profile reflects a Tier Review date in 2021, this will automatically be extended by 12 months when your Tier Review date is reached. For example, if you currently have a Tier Review date of 31 March 2021, this will be adjusted to 31 March 2022. Retaining your tier status will be based on your travel activity between 31 March 2021 and 31 March 2022.

We recognise that ongoing travel restrictions globally may impact your ability to travel with Emirates and will be in contact with opportunities for you to retain your tier with greater ease from 2022. In the meantime, you can make the most of the opportunity to earn Tier Miles with an Emirates Skywards cobranded card*. Use your card for everyday purchases, including education fees and online shopping to earn Tier Miles for the Skywards Miles you earn.

*The Tier Miles offer is currently available for Emirates Skywards cobranded cards in the UAE, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and the USA.

Extending Miles validity

We’ve extended the validity of any Skywards Miles due to expire on or after April 2020 until 31 December 2021. Skywards Miles can be redeemed up to 11 months in advance for an extensive range of rewards, including flight tickets on Emirates and partner airlines, flight upgrades, hotel stays, and money-can’t-buy experiences.

Please note: Details of this relaxed policy may not immediately reflect in the ‘My Account’ section of emirates.com. Your revised tier review date will be updated in the month of your existing review date.

We’re coming up with more ways to support you at this time, so keep your contact details up to date.
