We’ve been pouring fresh cups of luxury Dilmah tea on board and in our lounges since 1992, and we serve over 10 different varieties. Behind every blend is the passion of Dilmah’s founder, Merrill J. Fernando, who launched the brand based on two principles: producing the finest, freshest quality tea while giving back to the community. Together our shared passion for quality and authenticity goes into every cup we serve.

Celebrating 33 years of Dilmah

It’s International Tea Day on 21 May and it’s a chance for us to celebrate our long-term partnership with Dilmah luxury teas. In our lounges in Dubai, you can enjoy Dilmah Elixir tea mocktails and cocktails perfectly paired with a selection of desserts, as well as crafted tea drinks and desserts in selected lounges around the world.

On 21 May 2025, all our customers on board can take home a giveaway box of three Dilmah teas to suit the occasion - Dombagastalawa Estate Ceylon with rose, almond and ginger for celebrations, Moroccan Mint Green Tea for peace of mind and Ceylon Tea with strawberry for joy. We’ll also serve a Dilmah Elixir Breeze mocktail in First and Business Class.

From 15 to 31 May 2025 on flights to the UK, we’re sharing some Dilmah tea pairing tips for our afternoon tea service in First and Business Class. We hope you enjoy discovering a new side to this versatile leaf.

  • Choose a Dilmah tea to suit your mood
    Relax with the soothing taste of Dilmah tea in every travel class. In First and Business Class, choose from a fine selection of gourmet blends to suit your mood, from an energy boosting Earl Grey, to a mellow Pure Camomile Flowers. Or try bespoke teas like Sencha Green Extra Special or Breakfast in Paradise, with turmeric, coconut and vanilla. And in Economy Class you can sip a cup of Premium Ceylon or Natural Green Tea.
     
    Hand-picked in the central hills of Sri Lanka, the tea leaves are withered, rolled, fermented and fired to produce tea with sophisticated aromas, tastes and textures. Enjoy them fresh from the plantation to your cup.
  • The Emirates Signature tea
    Savour the aromatic flavours of our own Emirates Signature tea blend made exclusively for us by Dilmah and served only in First Class. It uses flowery orange pekoe 1 leaf, with a sprinkle of marigold and safflower. Rich aromatic notes of rose, almond and ginger give it a balance of fragrances and flavours. Pair this fragrant tea with savoury dishes including nuts or leafy vegetables. Or try it with the sweet flavour of light cakes and chocolate or caramel desserts.

    A light and gentle green tea with a soft herbal note. Elegant, pale yellow with hues of olive when brewed.
  • Ceylon Breakfast
    An energetic tea. Bright, brisk and full bodied with a rich, natural taste. Grown at 4,000ft above sea level. Order a cup in our lounge to prepare for your early morning flight.
  • Turmeric, Coconut and Vanilla
    A relaxing evening tea you can sip in our lounge before your night flight. A delicious fusion of tropical spice and natural coconut and vanilla flavours.
  • Earl Grey with Honey
    A deliciously fragrant gourmet tea. Strong and full bodied with natural bergamot and honey. Grown at 3,000ft above sea level.
