Destination - Canada (CA)

Passport required.

Passport Exemptions:
Passengers with a Certificate of Identity issued by Canada and a Permanent Resident Card issued by Canada.
Document Validity:
Passports and other documents accepted for entry issued to residents of Canada must be valid on arrival.
Warning: if departing from the USA (regardless of any destination passport exemptions), a valid passport and/or accepted departure document is required by the US immigration authorities.
Parent(s) traveling with a child under 18 years are strongly advised to hold documentation containing evidence that the child is theirs.
Parents who are separated or divorced are advised to keep legal and other relevant documents available, in order to clarify custody rights. All children irrespective of nationality traveling alone or with only one parent/guardian or with adults that have no legal custody over them, are also strongly advised to hold a consent letter signed by a legal guardian or parent with legal custody, containing:
- authorization to travel (with another person, when applicable) and to be outside the country;
- destination in Canada, also indicating length of stay;
- the signor's address and telephone details.
Dual nationals of Canada must travel with a passport issued by Canada.

Visa Exemptions:
Passengers with a Permanent Resident Card issued by Canada.
Passengers with a student or work permit are allowed to return to Canada from the USA or St. Pierre and Miquelon without obtaining a new visa, if they have not left the USA or St. Pierre and Miquelon to a third country and are returning within the period of entry authorized (expiry date of student or work permit) or within 6 months of original entry stamp.
Additional Information:
Approved applicants for permanent residence are issued a Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR). Visa counterfoils continue to be issued to approved applicants for permanent residence from non-visa exempt countries.

Transit - Iceland (IS)

Visa required.

Visa Exemptions:
Passengers with an Alien's passport issued by Estonia and Latvia for a maximum stay of 90 days.
TWOV (Transit Without Visa):
Passengers arriving from a non-Schengen Member State with a confirmed onward ticket for a flight on the same calendar day to a third country which is not a Schengen Member State. They must:
- stay in the international transit area of the airport, and
- have documents required for the next destination.
