4.1. Your purchase guarantees you the choice of the following criteria: regular (window, aisle or middle), preferred (window, aisle or middle; upper or lower deck), twin (upper or lower deck), extra legroom, or Premium.
 
4.2. We will do our best to provide the seats you reserve. However, we may have to move you to a different seat in case of disruption, aircraft change, or for any other operational, safety or security reasons. In case of involuntary seat changes, you will be eligible for a refund only in the cases described in section 6. Refunds.
 
4.3. You must check-in no later than 90 minutes before scheduled departure time.
 
4.4. Your purchase is valid for the seat type, flight(s) and date(s) shown on the purchase receipt.
 
4.5. If you purchased an extra legroom seat, you must comply with additional safety requirements as described in section 7. Extra legroom safety terms and conditions.
 <div class="GrfTCheading">5. Changes:</div> 
5.1. Your purchase is also valid if you voluntarily change the date of your flight(s) or choose different flight(s) on the same sector, and the product is still available.
 
5.2. Voluntary seat changes on the originally booked flight are allowed free of charge for seats of the same or lower value and by paying the difference for seats of higher value.
 <div class="GrfTCheading">6. Refunds</div> 
6.1. Refund applications must be submitted after the flight has occurred using our <a href="https://www.emirates.com/english/help/forms/refund-request/?pub=autodetect" target="_blank" class="bodyLink">refund form(the link opens in a new window)</a> within three months after the date of the last flight in your itinerary.
 
6.2. You shall only be entitled to a refund of your purchase in the following limited cases:
 
    6.2.1. The original Emirates flight was changed, cancelled or re-routed by Emirates and
 
        6.2.1.1. the product you originally purchased is not available or
 
        6.2.1.2. you refused the new flight proposed by Emirates.
 
    6.2.2. Death or serious illness (must be proven by an acceptable certificate) of you or a member of your Immediate Family as defined within <a href="https://www.emirates.com/english/before-you-fly/travel/rules-and-notices/?pub=autodetect" target="_blank" class="bodyLink">Emirates General Conditions of Carriage(the link opens in a new window)</a>.
 
    6.2.3. You booked your flight via <a href="https://www.emirates.com/us/english/" target="_blank" class="bodyLink">www.emirates.com/us/english(the link opens in a new window)</a> including a flight sector to or from the USA at least 7 days before departure, and you cancel your flight within 24 hours of booking.
 
    6.2.4. You are re-seated in accordance with one of the following criteria:
 
        6.2.4.1. Regular seat to a different type of regular (defined as window, middle or aisle);
 
        6.2.4.2. Preferred seat to a different type of preferred (defined as window, middle or aisle; upper or lower deck) or to a regular, twin or extra legroom seat;
 
        6.2.4.3. Twin seat to a different type of twin (defined as window or aisle; upper or lower deck) or to a regular, preferred or extra legroom seat;
 
        6.2.4.4. Extra legroom seat re-seated on a regular, preferred or twin seat.
 
        6.2.4.5. Premium seat re-seated on a regular, preferred, twin or an extra legroom seat.
 
    6.2.5. You voluntarily changed your flight and the Premium seat you purchased on your original flight is not offered on the new flight.
 
6.3. You are not entitled to any refund of your purchase in any other event, including:
 
    6.3.1. You voluntarily decide not to use the product you have purchased;
 
    6.3.2. You voluntarily change your flight and the product you purchased is not available;
 
    6.3.3. You voluntarily upgrade, or are upgraded by Emirates, to a higher cabin;
 
    6.3.4. You voluntarily change to a seat type of lower value;
 
    6.3.5. You voluntarily cancel your flight;
 
    6.3.6. You do not meet any of the safety or legal requirements;
 
    6.3.7. You are entitled to the purchased product or service as a result of your frequent flier tier, but you failed to add the correct membership number at the time of booking;
 
    6.3.8. You are denied carriage in accordance with the <a href="https://www.emirates.com/english/before-you-fly/travel/rules-and-notices/?pub=autodetect" target="_blank" class="bodyLink">Emirates General Conditions of Carriage(the link opens in a new window)</a> for passengers and baggage.
 
6.4. In the event that you are entitled to a refund, we will refund the full amount including any refundable tax (unless otherwise stated).
 <div class="GrfTCheading">7. To qualify for extra legroom seats, you must meet the following safety criteria:</div> 
7.1. Be 18 years of age or older.
 
7.2. Be able to read and understand instructions in English related to emergency evacuation provided in printed or graphic form and be able to understand oral crew commands.
 
7.3. Be fully able-bodied and capable to identify, reach and operate the exit doors in the event of an emergency and not have a condition that might cause you harm if you perform one or more of these functions.
 
7.4. Be able to speak well enough to adequately impart information orally to other passengers.
 
7.5. Be able and willing to assist the crew and other passengers in the evacuation of the aircraft.
 
7.6. Not travelling with infants, children under the age of 18, care giver, persons who require safety assistant for emergency evacuation, or travelling with a guide dog or any other assistance animal.
 
7.7. Not using medical equipment, extension seat belt nor requiring any assistance due to reduced mobility.
 
7.8. On all exit row seats, armrest cannot be lifted. On some exit row seats ending in A or K, leg space may be partially restricted and they may not be located next to a window due to emergency exit door placement.
 
7.9. Emirates will reassign your seat before or during the journey without any refund if you don't meet any of the above safety criteria.

<div><h3>Fare conditions</h3><h4>Terms and Conditions for Promotional Upgrades</h4></div>1.     Specific Flight 
        1.1     This upgrade offer is only applicable to the specific flight displayed and not the entire journey/itinerary.
 2.     Allowances and Services 
        2.1     For Economy Class or Premium Economy to Business Class upgrades: Lounge access and Chauffeur-drive service will not be available. Baggage allowance, priority check-in, baggage priority and Skywards Miles earned will remain as per the original Economy Class ticket.
 
        2.2     For Business Class to First Class upgrades: Lounge access, Chauffeur-drive service eligibility, baggage allowance, priority check-in, baggage priority and Skywards Miles earned will remain as per the originally purchased Business Class ticket.
 
        2.3     Skywards member’s Lounge Access: Skywards members will retain lounge access based on their Skywards Tier status/eligibility.
 3.     Refunds, Changes, Transfers and Cancellations 
        3.1     This upgrade offer is non-refundable, non-transferable and only applies on the flight number, sector, and date mentioned above.
 
        3.2     Voluntary changes, cancellations and refunds for cash upgrades are not permitted.
 
        3.3     If you are impacted by involuntary flight changes, you will be rebooked in accordance with Emirates’ standard rebooking process. In cases where you cannot be rebooked in your upgrade class, you shall receive a refund of the promotional upgrade amount you have paid.
 
        3.4     For upgrades using Miles, there are no cancellation fees applicable for unutilised upgrades. Miles used for the upgrade will be refunded unless they have expired. Any applicable taxes paid in cash will not be refunded.
 4.     Nature of Upgrade Offer 
        4.1     All passengers in the booking must purchase the upgrade. For Skywards Miles upgrades, the respective amount of Skywards Miles for every passengers’ upgrades will be deducted from one individual account.
 
        4.2     Only the following cabin upgrades are permissible: Economy Class to Premium Economy, Economy Class or Premium Economy to Business Class, and Business Class to First Class.
 
        4.3     A further upgrade to a higher cabin class using cash or Miles for the sectors already upgraded will not be permitted.
 
        4.4     Skywards Miles will be earned at the rate of the original class on the ticket, not the higher upgraded class.
 5.     Purchasing your Upgrade Offer 
        5.1     This upgrade offer must be purchased and ticketed at least 6 hours prior to departure and will become void if not purchased before this time.
 
        5.2     This upgrade offer is subject to availability at the time of purchase and ticketing. Seat availability is not reserved or guaranteed until the upgrade has been purchased and ticketed.
 
        5.3     Emirates reserves the right to amend, limit or revoke this upgrade offer at any time prior to purchase and ticketing.
 
        5.4     Your upgrade can only be purchased through emirates.com by an instant payment method (credit or debit card). Emirates accepts no responsibility for any online technical issues resulting in the failure to book and pay for an upgrade within the time limit.

<h2 class="fareruleHeader">Emirates Upgrade Rewards terms and conditions</h2><h3 class="fareruleHeader">Emirates Upgrade Rewards</h3>
1. Upgrade rewards are available only on Emirates flights (excluding Emirates codeshare flights operated by another carrier) and may be redeemed for a single sector, an outward or return leg, or a complete return journey.
 
2. Upgrade rewards are not permitted on Special fare tickets. Economy Class Saver tickets can only be upgraded at the time of online check-in, at the airport or on board.
 
3. New Chauffeur-drive service reservations are not available in conjunction with Skywards Economy Class to Premium Economy upgrades or Economy to Business Class upgrades, or Premium Economy to Business Class upgrades.
 
4. Members must have sufficient Miles for the requested Emirates flight upgrade reward at the time they request the upgrade reward.
 
5. Upgrade rewards are permissible from Economy Class to Premium Economy, Economy Class to Business Class, Premium Economy to Business Class or Business Class to First Class.
 
6. Upgrade reward requests must be made at least six hours prior to departure. Upgrade rewards requested within 24 hours prior to departure will not be eligible for Special Meals services.

1. All bookings must have a Business Rewards membership number to be eligible for a Dynamic Reward Upgrade.

A Dynamic Reward Upgrade ticket cannot be endorsed or transferred on a carrier other than Emirates. All ticketing and fare rules applicable to the original ticket must be observed at all times.

4. Dynamic Reward Upgrades must be booked at least six hours prior to departure and only Dynamic Reward Upgrades that are booked more than 48 hours prior to departure will be able to avail of any Chauffeur-drive services, seating requests or special meal services.
 
5. Certain types of discounted tickets, AD/ID tickets, staff tickets and rebate tickets are not eligible for Dynamic Reward Upgrades using Business Rewards Points.
 
6. Dynamic Reward tickets in Economy can be upgraded to either Premium Economy or Business or First Class using Business Rewards Points so long as the Dynamic Reward Flight ticket falls within the Flex Plus, Flex or Saver fare brands.
 
7. Dynamic Reward Upgrades must be booked online by a Programme Administrator by logging into the Business Rewards account and clicking on the "Upgrade" icon within the Bookings tab.
 
8. All Dynamic Reward Upgrades are subject to booking class availability and cannot be guaranteed.
 
9. Dynamic Reward Upgrades may be subject to administration fees, additional taxes and/or surcharges payable at the time of booking using all payment methods available on emirates.com. Business Rewards Points cannot be used to cover these charges.
 
10. If there is more than one passenger travelling on an original booking, any requests to purchase Dynamic Reward Upgrades will apply to all passengers on that booking and Business Rewards Points will be debited accordingly.
 
11. Dynamic Reward Upgrades are permitted from Economy to Premium Economy, Business or First Class, Premium Economy to Business or First Class and Business to First Class, subject to aircraft configuration, and is subject to the availability of reward seats in the higher class cabin.
 
12. Once the Dynamic Reward Upgrade is processed, You are entitled to the respective baggage allowance, check-in and lounge facilities applicable to the higher class of travel.
 
13. Once the Dynamic Reward Upgrade is processed, if there are any subsequent changes to the travel date, utilisation of the reward upgrade will be subject to availability and capacity of the new flight. Additional taxes and surcharges may apply. You must contact your local Emirates office or Emirates contact centre to discuss and process any changes. If the reward upgrade is unavailable on the new flight, the applicable Business Rewards Points will be re-credited to your account, along with the refund of any taxes and surcharges.
 
14. Dynamic Reward Upgrades may be cancelled prior to travel of the first sector of your ticket. You understand that any cancellation by You will be subject to an administration fee as per the applicable fare rules of the upgraded ticket. The applicable Business Rewards Points will be re-credited to your account, along with the refund of any unused taxes and surcharges, however expired Points will not be re-credited to your account. Business Rewards Points will not be refunded into your account for any upgraded flights that were booked but that the traveller did not fly.
