You can check in online 48 hours ahead of your flight. Select your favourite seat, or take advantage of any last-minute upgrade options. 

Print your boarding pass or download a digital one to use at most airports. Remember to enter your Emirates Skywards number to earn Miles for your flight.

At Dubai airport, it’s easy and quick to drop your bags at our self check-in kiosks or you can go to our desks. You can drop off your bags 24 hours before departure, or 12 hours before departure if you’re flying to the US.

Please leave extra time to present your travel documents and reach your gate on time.

3-4 hours — At most airports you need to arrive 3 hours before departure, but it can be up to 4 hours to complete all the travel requirements. Please check your ticket for the best time to arrive for your journey.

90 minutes — If you're checking in bags, drop them at the Emirates check-in counters no later than 90 minutes before your flight.

60 minutes — Go through security at least 60 minutes before your flight.

45 minutes — Arrive at the boarding gate 45 minutes before departure. The gates close 20 minutes before the flight leaves.

Make sure the last name you enter matches the one in your ticket, and please use English alphabet characters only.
You'll find your booking reference on your ticket. It's the six-character code made up of letters and numbers that appears under your name.
