|Transfer between terminals||Regular shuttle buses run between the three terminals. There is a covered walkway between Terminals 1 and 2.|
|Driving directions||The Airport Expressway links Beijing Capital International Airport with the city centre. From the centre, take the ring road to the expressway and follow it in a northeasterly direction to the airport site.|
|Car rental||Driving in China requires a Chinese-issued driving licence, so car rental usually includes a driver. A number of local agencies offer this service and there is a car rental booth within the airport terminal. Recent legislation enables non-nationals to obtain temporary licences, but the major international car rental agencies are only just beginning to establish a foothold in the country. However, Avis and Hertz are present at the airport.|
|Public transport and taxis||Bus:
Buses to the Shunyi District depart from outside Terminals 2 and 3. Fares start at ¥4.
The airport shuttle bus departs from outside the arrivals areas of the terminals and takes various routes into the city, including stops at some major hotels. The most popular route is to Xidan in central Beijing, a short walk from the Forbidden City. The journey time to central Beijing is around 45 minutes and the fare is ¥16.
Metered taxis (tel: (010) 6454 1100) are available at the officially designated taxi ranks. The journey time to the city centre is between 45 and 60 minutes (depending on traffic conditions) and fares start at around ¥150. Passengers are advised to have the destination address either written in Chinese or marked clearly on a map.
The Beijing Subway's Airport Express (

) runs from Terminals 2 and 3 directly to the city centre (journey time: approximately 20 minutes; fare: ¥25).
|Car parking||Extensive parking facilities (tel: (010) 6454 0814) are offered on six levels in a multi-storey car park. It is equipped with electronic guide screens to assist with locating a space, but it is generally recommended that spaces are reserved in advance, as it can often be very busy.|
|Information and help desks||Airport information is available at staffed desks in all terminals. Tourist information is available in the arrivals lounge of Terminal 3.|
Full-service bank desks can be found in Terminal 3. Several bureaux de change and ATMs are available within each terminal.
There is a good choice of places to eat and drink throughout the airport. These include tea houses, fast-food outlets, Chinese and Western restaurants, ice cream parlours and bars.
There are shops in each terminals, selling everything from jewellery and gifts to children’s toys and tea leaves. A large selection of duty-free shopping is available to international passengers in Terminals 2 and 3.
Left-luggage facilities are available in the corridor between Terminals 1 and 2 (tel: (010) 6459 8151 or 8152) and Terminal 3 (tel: (010) 6455 8580 or 8579). For lost and found items, contact the airport lost and found desks inside the passenger service centre in Terminal 2 (tel: (010) 6459 8333 for Terminals 1 and 2) and at various points in Terminal 3 (tel: (010) 6459 30030). Porters can assist with luggage in the baggage reclaim areas and public departure halls.
Other facilities at Beijing Capital International Airport include a 24-hour medical centre, massage areas and hourly rest rooms.
|Conference and business facilities||The business centres in each terminal provide internet access, fax and computer facilities.
