|Airport news||Recent years have seen improvements to security and infrastructure at Lagos Murtala Muhammed International Airport, and a reduction in the amount of crime taking place in the terminals and on the tarmac. Additionally, approval has been given for expansion of the international terminal.|
|Driving directions||A highway links Murtala Muhammed Airport with the city centre. The journey takes 30 to 60 minutes depending on the traffic.|
|Car rental||Avis and Hertz both have desks in the terminal. It is also possible to hire a car from most of the big international hotels. Please note that fuel shortages often occur in Nigeria, so ensure you have enough petrol to complete your journey. Roads are in poor condition. Take care when travelling on major roads and in traffic jams as robberies can, and do, happen: keep valuables out of sight and keep doors and windows locked. |Public transport and taxis||Taxi: taxis are the easiest and safest way to travel from the airport to the city. Split into two blocks divided by a large pool, this hotel is of a good standard, and offers a range of facilities including business centre, meeting rooms, car rental, three restaurants and bar. It is also close to a large shopping centre.

Sheraton Lagos Hotel
The 325-room Sheraton is an international standard hotel, with meeting and event space, in the heart of the Ikeja business district. It has a restaurant, swimming pool, tennis courts, hairdressers, car rental desk and ATM, among its facilities.
