Important information

Connecting to and from flydubai with an Emirates ticket

If you bought a ticket with Emirates and part of your journey is with flydubai, here is some important information you need to know.

Changes to your booking

Since your booking is with Emirates, you will need to contact Emirates to make any changes to your travel plans. Please call your local Emirates office.

Checking in and baggage

For Emirates originating flights, you will receive your onward boarding pass at check-in. When you check in, your baggage will be tagged through to your final destination—which means you won’t have to collect it in Dubai.

For flydubai originating flights, you may have to check in for the onward flight and collect your boarding pass at the Emirates transfer desk in Dubai. In this case, you will have to identify your baggage to airport staff in Dubai so it can be associated with the Emirates boarding pass.

Emirates baggage allowances and charges (where applicable) will apply for the full journey (even if the first sector is on flydubai). Emirates Skywards Platinum, Gold, and Silver baggage allowances are applicable on flydubai sectors.

Connecting in Dubai

In Dubai, Emirates operates from Terminal 3 and flydubai operates from Terminal 2. If you arrive on an Emirates flight and you're connecting to a flydubai flight, you'll need to take a bus to the F Gates. There are signs to guide you.
