If I purchase a Skywards Flex fare, does that mean it will be free to change it at any time?

If you choose to buy a Skywards Flex fare, the flexibility usually relates to eligibility and purchase restrictions and how you earn Skywards and Tier Miles, not to changing your fare conditions. As every ticket is unique, it’s best to check the fare rules when making your booking.

However, if you are buying a Flex reward flight with Skywards Miles then in this case ticket changes are usually free.
