Emirates makes it easy to stay connected to family, friends and colleagues on the ground with a wide range of communications options. Be sure to use the Services by Flight tool on the right to see what you can expect on a specific flight.

AeroMobile: Use your own GSM mobile phone on selected flights to make and receive calls, as well as send and receive sms messages, just as you would do on the ground*. The service is available on over 100 Emirates flights per day and that number is growing.

OnAir - Wi-Fi in the sky: You can now connect to OnAir Wi-Fi on selected Emirates A380s, allowing you to surf the web, chat, tweet, check your email and more. Connecting is simple: join the OnAir wireless network on your device, open your web browser and follow the on-screen instructions. OnAir is being rolled out across all Emirates A380s – your cabin crew will inform you if your flight is Wi-Fi enabled.

In-seat telephone, SMS and email: Keep in touch by phone, SMS and email directly from your seat. Send a message to someone on the ground and receive a reply right on your TV screen. Satellite telephones available in every seat allow you to call anywhere in the world. You can also use the phone to speak to someone seated elsewhere on board.

Up to the minute information: Follow the progress of your flight on our moving map channel, Airshow; or enjoy a bird’s eye view from one of the external cameras. Read up on Dubai, Emirates, or Skywards, or see live BBC text news headlines, refreshed regularly during the flight. You won’t have to miss a thing while you’re in the air.

* To use the service, your own mobile phone service provider must have a roaming agreement in place with AeroMobile and charges are in line with international roaming rates. On aircraft where the AeroMobile system is not installed, existing rules regarding the use of mobile phones remain appropriate.
