|Airport news||A new Metro line, L9, is currently under construction. This line, which will link both terminals directly to the city center, is due to begin operation in 2014.|
|Transfer between terminals||A pedestrian walkway links the A, B, and C concourses of Terminal 2. A free shuttle bus operates between Terminals 1 and 2, running every 4 minutes at peak times.|
|Driving directions||From Barcelona city center, take the Barcelona ring road and turn off at the Barcelona-Castelldefels C-31 motorway (which also connects with the Barcelona-Sitges C-32 motorway). From here, turn off at exit 192 onto the airport access road.|
|Car rental||Car rental companies at Barcelona Airport include Avis, Enterprise/Atesa, Europcar, Hertz, and Sixt. These operators have desks in both terminals.|
|Public transport and taxis||Bus: The Aerobús (tel: 90 210 0104; www.aerobusbcn.com) service to Plaça de Catalunya departs from in front of the terminals (travel time: 35 minutes; fare: €5.90). Tickets are purchased on board. Local AMB (tel: 010; www.tmb.cat) buses 46, L77, and N17 depart from Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 (concourse B and C) and terminate at various central Barcelona destinations (travel time: 45 minutes; fare: €5.90). There is also a night bus operating at 20-minute intervals from 22:00 to 05:00.|

Rail: The RENFE (tel: 902 320 320; www.renfe.com) R2 suburban train links Barcelona Airport with the city center, Estació de Franςa, and intermediate stops (travel time: 30–45 minutes; fare: €3.80). The airport railway station is linked to Terminal 2 by a walkway. Free shuttle buses run from Terminal 1 to the station.
|Car parking||There are numerous public parking lots with capacity for about 20,000 cars at Barcelona Airport. Short-term parking areas are located directly in front of each terminal; the PA and PC parking lots are directly connected to Terminal 2 via airbridges. The long-term parking lot is a short distance from both terminals and is linked via a shuttle bus service. A VIP parking service (tel: 93 297 1381), which offers a secured parking area and pick-up outside the terminals, is also available.|
|Information and help desks||Airport information desks can be found throughout the airport (tel: 90 240 4704 and 91 321 1000), at eight locations in Terminal 1 and five points in Terminal 2 (concourses A and B). Tourist information desks are located in Terminal 1 (tel: 93 378 8175) and Terminal 2 (concourses A and B) (tel: 93 378 8149); there is also a hotel information desk in Terminal 2's B concourse.|
|Airport Facilities||Money: Bank branches can be found in Terminal 1 and Terminal 2's B concourse. ATMs and currency exchange services are available throughout Barcelona Airport.|
Communications: There is a post office on the ground floor of Terminal 2's B concourse. Paid Wi-Fi hotspots are available at various locations throughout the terminals; the first 15 minutes is free of charge. Mobile phone chargers can be rented.
Food: There is a large choice of restaurants, cafés, and bars in the departure and arrival areas of both terminals. Options range from fast-food outlets to sit-down restaurants and tapas bars.
Shopping: There is a wide range of shops in both terminals, including bookshops, newsstands, fashion outlets, and retailers selling branded Barcelona Football Club goods. Duty-free shopping (for passengers leaving the EU) is available in both terminals.
Luggage: A lost property service (tel: 93 259 6440) is located in Terminal 1. Several other lost and found offices can be found throughout the airport, operated by the various ground handlers. The left-luggage office in the Terminal 1 lobby area can assist with luggage storage.
Other facilities: Other facilities at Barcelona Airport include a pharmacy, 24-hour medical service, tour operators, travel agents, and children's play areas.
|Conference and business facilities||The Air Meetings Business Center (tel: 90 250 8550; www.bcn-airmeetings.com) in Terminal 1 contains boardrooms, meeting rooms, and a rest area with bedrooms and gym facilities. There are two meeting rooms available for rent (tel: 93 297 1101) in Terminal 2 (concourse B), with telephone, fax, Internet access, and audiovisual equipment. VIP lounges are located post-security in Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 (concourses A and B).|
|Disabled facilities||Barcelona Airport has elevators, ramps, escalators, lowered telephones, and accessible toilets for disabled travelers. Reserved parking spaces for disabled travelers are available in the airport parking lots.|
|Airport hotels||There are some rest areas in the terminal and two hotels immediately adjacent to Barcelona Airport; several other accommodation options can be found a short distance away.
