|Driving directions||Los Angeles International Airport is located just off the Pacific Coast Highway (Highway 1) near the intersection of Interstates 405 and 105. From Los Angeles, take Interstate 405 South, turn off onto Interstate 105 West, and follow signs to the airport. Traffic is heavy at peak times; the airport recommends using public transport.|

|Public transport and taxis||Bus: Public bus services are run by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (tel: (323) 466 3876; www.metro.net). Buses run from parking lot C, which is connected to the terminals by a free shuttle bus. A single fare on the bus network starts at US$1.50, with additional charges of up to US$1.40 on freeway services.|
Shuttle: Various airport shuttle bus and minivan services run to destinations all over southern California, including SuperShuttle (tel: (310) 782 6600; www.supershuttle.com) and Prime Time Shuttle (tel: (310) 342 7200; www.primetimeshuttle.com). The FlyAway Bus (tel: 1 866 435 9529) serves Union Station, Westwood Station, and Van Nuys Station. The travel time to central Los Angeles is 30–60 minutes, depending on traffic, and the fare is $8.
Taxi: Taxis stop outside the terminals on the lower (Arrivals) levels. Authorized taxis serve Los Angeles International Airport and display fixed-fare tariffs to local destinations. A list of providers is available on the airport's website. Expect to pay upwards of US$40 for the trip into central Los Angeles, US$75 to Disneyland, and US$35 to Hollywood.
Metro: A free shuttle bus (bus G) connects Los Angeles International Airport to the Aviation Station on the Green Line of the Metro light-rail network (tel: (323) 466 3876; www.metro.net). A single fare on the Metro network starts at US$1.50; travel time into the city is about 40 minutes.
|Car parking||There are about 8,000 parking spaces available in eight centrally located parking facilities providing both short- and long-term parking. Metered parking is available in the central terminal area and in the uncovered parking lots on the arrivals levels. The two perimeter parking lots (B and C) offer cheaper daily rates; a free shuttle runs between lot C and the terminals. There is a "cell phone lot" next to parking lot C for those picking up arriving passengers. Full parking information, including prices, is available on the airport website.|
|Information and help desks||Travelers Aid booths are located on the lower level (Arrivals) of each terminal, near baggage claim; these desks also provide information and assistance for disabled passengers. |Airport Facilities||Money: ATMs, banks, and bureaux de change are available in all terminals.|
Communications: Postal services are not available at the airport. Free Wi-Fi is available, but paid premium Internet access is also offered throughout LAX. In addition, public telephones with Internet dataport access are positioned at various points in each terminal. Mobile phone rental services can be found in Arrivals at the TBI Terminal, and free recharging stations for mobile phones and laptops are available throughout the airport.
Food: There are numerous bars, cafés, and restaurants in Los Angeles International Airport. These range from standard US and Mexican-style fast-food vendors to grill restaurants and sports bars.
Shopping: There are many shops at Los Angeles International Airport, including newsstands, gift shops, and bookshops. Duty-free shopping, for international passengers, can be found in Terminals 2 to 7 and in the TBI Terminal.
Luggage: Luggage trolleys are available for use in the baggage claim areas and outside the terminals. There are currently no baggage lockers at Los Angeles International Airport; passengers are advised to contact their airline to arrange baggage storage. Other facilities: There is a first aid station in the TBI Terminal. AED units (defibrillators) are situated throughout Los Angeles International Airport.
|Conference and business facilities||Notary services are available at the ICE Currency Exchange booth on the departures level of the TBI Terminal. Fax and photocopying are provided by an additional ICE Currency Exchange booth on the arrivals level of the same terminal. There is a boardroom (tel: (310) 342 4476) in Terminal 3, provided by Alaska Airlines, and two US Airways conference rooms (tel: (310) 348 7914) in Terminal 1.
