|Airport news||The terminal is currently undergoing a £10 million facelift ahead of the 2014 Commonwealth Games, to be held in the city. Further development plans include the possible construction of a second runway and expansion of terminal facilities to cope with a projected threefold increase in passenger numbers over the next two decades.|
|Driving directions||From central Glasgow, take the M8 motorway westwards to Junction 28. Glasgow Airport is clearly signed from this point.|

|Public transport and taxis||Bus: First’s Glasgow Shuttle (tel: (01224) 650 100; www.firstgroup.com/ukbus/glasgow) operates 24 hours a day between Glasgow Airport and the city center (travel time: 25 minutes; fare: £6). Bus 747 (AirLink) also operates to the city center via Renfrew, Braehead, Partick, and Charing Cross (travel time: 50 minutes; fare: £4.50). Buses are also available to other destinations. Taxi: Metered taxis are available 24 hours a day. The taxi stand is immediately outside the terminal building. The fare to the city center is around £25, and the travel time is generally about 20 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.
Rail: The Gilmour Street Railway Station in Paisley is around 1.6 km (1 mile) from Glasgow Airport and only a few minutes away by taxi or local bus. The short-term parking lots are within walking distance of the terminals; there are regular transfer coaches to the terminal from the long-term parking lot. Discounted long-term parking can be booked in advance via the airport’s website. A fast-track service is available in short-term parking lot 2 for a higher fee.|
|Information and help desks||Glasgow Airport's information desk is on the first floor, next to the domestic arrivals/departures area. Food: A good choice of restaurants, cafés, and bars is concentrated on the first floor, after security. A number of options are also available before security, including a sports bar and a pub.
Shopping: Shopping at Glasgow Airport includes duty-free outlets for passengers traveling outside the EU, as well as retailers selling a range of items, including newsstands, specialist Scottish-themed gift shops, and fashion outlets.
